just got this for my son's third birthday. he loves geotrax. loves to make the trains race and now having a race car to add into the mix makes it more exciting. mcqueen goes much faster than the trains-which makes my son very excited. the design must be new underneath too, because this car holds onto the track better than any of our other train cars do. he hasn't fallen off the tracks yet, even on my son's "roller coaster" track configurations. hopefully now that disney is teaming with geotrax they will put out more movies or even some books. my son loves the movies and acts them all out.

So disapointing!! My sons got Lightning and Doc Hudson for Christmas so they could use them on their Geotrax set. But you cannot use more than one Disney Cars RC toy at once, as the frequency is the same for all of them. I can't believe that Fisher Price would do this. They have been successful at keeping all of the Trains for the Geotrax on difference frequencies so they can all be used together. So why not now? Don't buy more than one of these!

Our child has a Geotrax train set that is a couple of years old. We thought that this McQueen vehicle along with the Cars track set would make a good addition to his existing set so that he could build larger tracks. We were disappointed to find that, while the cars track pieces do fit together with the train track pieces, they are not really compatible. The cars track set has a row of cogs down the center that is needed for the "Cars" vehicles (McQueen in this case). For some reason, the train will often derail when it encounters the Cars track pieces. Furthermore, Lightning McQueen will often derail when he encounters the train track pieces.

This is a great little geotrax vehicle as long as you only use it with the cars track pieces.

We have had Geo Trax for about 5 years and my youngest son just received the Lightning McQueen Turbo RC that runs on the Geo Trax system. It does go twice as fast as the regular vehicles which he loves, he sometimes gets impatient waiting for the next hill, bridge, or other "action" spot in the tracks we set up. The sounds are exactly what you'd expect from Lightning. It was easy for him to use immediately and he is only 21 months old. He also takes it off track and runs it on the hardwood and tile floor. It goes well there, too. We would definitely recommend this car for Cars fans of all ages.

We have almost all of the GeoTrax trains. This was the first GeoTrax Pixar car and the gears stripped out almost immediately.

My sons love the Geotrax trains and love the Cars movie so I figured wow, what a great combination. After reading a number of reviews on other sites that complained about this product's reliability I was a little concerned but bought them anyway. Well the McQueen car stopped working correctly after a few hours. I was so disappointed. The Geotrax trains have been great but these aren't made to the same quality standards. I called Fisher Price and they are sending me a voucher for the money I paid for them. Make sure you keep the packaging and receipt if you buy these.

This guy is fast...way faster than the old GeoTrax but when we play with Geotrax with all of the sets collected over the years with four boys he is never their first choice. The boys have had him for about 8 months now and even when this guy was brand new (even with Fisher-Price GeoTrax CARS Turbo Doc RC and Fisher-Price Geotrax Cars Turbo Mater Rc these were picked after as well) he was picked as one of the last choices because he didn't have a hook and didn't carry things!

So, pros, he is fast! He looks cool that is why we thought the boys (6,4,2 and baby) would love him but they really don't unless nothing else is working and Mom doesn't want to replace batteries yet then they'll choose him. Oh well!

The boys have the three Cars Geotrax listed above and haven't had any problems with interference between them but the Mater remote does work an old firetrain geotrax that we have (which is a bonus, since that remote died a while back!) :)

My boys really like this lightning mcqueen, they've had it for two years now and it's still running fine. We have no problems using them on any of the tracks, and we have all different colors and textures. Maybe they're designed to run better on the cars tracks though. The only problem I noticed is that I bought both Mcqueen and Mater, and Mater wins everytime. Mater seems to go twice as fast around the track as Mcqueen. When I first noticed it, I thought it was because the batteries were dying. But even after putting new batteries in both, Mcqueen still seems to chug behind. He may even get rear-ended, if Mater doesn't slow down. But my boys love it anyway.

This LIghtening Geotrax car worked great initially and maybe about 6 months after we got it began only working in reverse. The wheels don't move when i push it forward. This is unfortunate, as this car goes twice as fast as the regular Geotrax trains and my son loves "Yightening AQueen". Anyways, I called Fisher Price and they are sending me a voucher for the cost of a new one (i have to send my broken one back first before they'll send the voucher). I would like to say the Fisher Price has had excellent customer service as I have now had to call regarding a few of their products, but they have always made the situation right.

Goes forward and backwards.
Goes 2x as fast as the other trains.
A bit more complicated to change the batteries.
