I found the entire Cars set by accident, not knowing they had a geotrax addon for the whole radiator springs setup. I got that, and purchased Mater right away as well, and my son flipped when he saw it. he's a huge geotrax fan, and we have a large, extensive setup. The cars fit right in, and they're great because they really do cruise twice as fast as the trains do.
Mater scoots along nice and quick, great sounds but the repetition gets old after a while for me, but not for my son.
Well built and solid just like the trains all are.

This guy is fast...way faster than the old GeoTrax but when we play with Geotrax with all of the sets collected over the years with four boys he isn't their first choice. The boys have had him for about 8 months now and even when this guy was brand new (even with Fisher-Price GeoTrax CARS Lightning McQueen Turbo RC and Fisher-Price GeoTrax CARS Turbo Doc RC these were picked after as well) he was picked as one of the last choices because he didn't have a hook and didn't pull things! He is a TOW truck, right?? But he can't tow things!!! :(

Also, one other big thing is that he is so tall that he doesn't fit under some of the bridges and things, especially the Fisher-Price Geotrax Rail and Road System Grand Central Station which the boys set up EVERY time that they play because they love having them go in loops and around things. He does go under most of the other bridges and things but they hate that he gets stuck!

So, pros, he is fast! He looks cool that is why we thought the boys (6,4,2 and baby) would love him but they really don't unless nothing else is working and Mom doesn't want to replace batteries yet then they'll choose him. Oh well!

This goes well with the GeoTrax Cars track. It adds a second car for the track so more than one person can play at a time.

I don't know what it is about these Cars Geo Trax trains but they don't last! We bought this Mater train thinking our son would love it -- which he did until it stopped working only a few short months later (the other two Geo Trax trains that we've had longer still work great). I've heard this has happened to other people and seen many reviews online echoing the same statement -- the Lightning McQueen and Mater trains simply stop working after only a few months!

Love the Cars Geo Trax, but in the 2 weeks we have owned it I have replaced both Mater and McQueen 3 times. The 1st Mater the remote did not work at all and the 2nd one the remote would wipe out 3 brand new Duracell Ultra batteries in 2 hours. I checked and confirmed the remote was not in on on position, but it still drained them completely. I had this issue with the 1st McQueen also, the car itself would not turn off. The 2nd McQueen would only work in reverse after 3 hours of play. Let's hope 3rd time is the charm for both!

Came in great condition, and super fast shipping! I will definitely order from them in the future. Glad i read the packaging. It didn't come with batteries, so I just taped some to the package...no biggie.

We bought three of these, wearing different skins, as presents for a 2.5 year old. He understood the remote control concept and the lever and button are well designed for little kid's manipulation. He spent five hours on them and a similar time the bext day. He is still playing with them with interest and role play. The three models have diffierent individual speeds, so the kid must be alert to changing dynamics of overtaking and avoiding collision. A word to the wise: these diminished interest in NON motorised versions, but not completely, just made each style popular for different sessions. Buy plenty of track with junctions and switches. The themes of competition, heroism and compassion transferred over from the film. We were just delighted at the reception the toy got.

Bought the Pixar Geo Trax Cars Mater and Doc for my grandson's birthday. I shopped several sources and found Amazon to be the best deal. Although the price was the same at a couple of stores, with no taxes or shipping charge Amazon was a better deal and the toys were shipped to my house.
