Ok... not that a mother actually HAS peace, but this toy... though cute and my son ADORES it... has GOT to be one of the most obnoxious(in a good way) toys ever! lol.. It's SO cool how it works, but wowie!! Animal noises can wear on the nerves after awhile. But my son loooves playing with it and enjoys making my 4 month laugh with all the animal noises. It really is a cool toy.... just not one for a home that you like to be "quiet"! Great quality, cool idea, and lots of fun!

We purchased this for our sons 3rd birthday. He played with it for all of 30 minutes at his party and has never touched it again. I am really not sure what the purpose of this is, i actually thought it would make the childs words "sound like" an animal but all it does is play the animal sounds as you pull the button on the handle. Even if your child LOVES Diego as mine does, don't bother with this.

We have had this toy for a few days now and my 2 year old son has yet to show any interest in it. I figured he would love it since he loves Diego but no. Also, one of the animals on it is very clearly a macaw, yet the toy says it's an African Grey Parrot. My not be a big deal for some but I thought it was kinda stupid.

Bought this for my nephew thinking it was a megaphone. It is pretty cool in that it makes animal sounds, but doesn't distort your voice, which is what he was wanting.

My son who loves Diego hasn't found much use for this toy. I only paid $4.50 for it so I don't feel like I'm out alot of money but I would recommend something else Diego. (My son likes the Diego Elephant figurine toy.)
When we push the button on the handle, nothing happens. If we want to make the sounds of the animals, we have to manually move the level to the animal we want. The animal sounds aren't very loud and aren't very clear. I thought this toy would be more of a hit! Its not. Even our 18 month old doesn't have any use for this toy. She wanted it but when I showed her how it worked, she didn't have any use for it. Bottom line - Don't spend $11 for this toy.

Thankfully, this was a gift, only because I did not pay any money for this toy. I'm not sure what you do with this toy, but I wish I could just throw it away. The child turns the dial to a specific animal. Then you talk into the back of the toy. The toy is to "interpret/translate" your childs voice to the selected animal, so that it sounds like your child is talking to the animals. He picks up this toy about once every six months and plays with it for a total of 30 seconds, literally.

wrong animal facts: fisher-price boasts on creating educational toys; how about final editing prior to production!,

fisher-price boasts on creating educational toys; how about final editing prior to production! On the dial is a macaw; the recording calls it an african gray. And there is a monkey pictured(with tail), but the recording calls it a chimpanzee.(chimps don't have tails) Buy this if you want to make your child dumb. Doesn't matter anyway; my 7,4, and 2 year old have found no use for this toy. FP, stick to the action figures. (hopefully lead-free)
