3.0 out of 5 stars You Get What You Pay for :)
I ordered this after seeing the great price($19), but I should have read the description very carefully. The seat height does not adjust like the more expensive model... this booster is okay, since it's at Grandma's house, but if I were needing it for every day use, the other one would have been better.

What's the difference between this Fisher Price Yellow & Orange booster seat versus the Blue & Green one? Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat - Blue

As you can see from the pictures (but not from the product description), this less expensive Yellow and Orange version does not have the following two features:

1. an extra adjustable base to raise/lower the seat; and
2. the tray insert and cover.

We have both this Yellow/Orange one and the Blue/Green one and find that the extra features are not really necessary. Our kid actually uses the tray insert and cover as a toy.

For a 10 month old, we have the adjustable base at the highest setting on the Blue/Green one. With no additional base, she sits lower on the Yellow/Orange one, but we don't really find it to be an issue.

Otherwise, like others, we really like this product. Better than a highchair in my opinion, because you can easily wash the whole thing down when needed. And good to take to restaurants too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful booster, don't even bother with a high chair!, October 20, 2008
This review is from: Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat, Yellow and Orange (Baby Product)
I can't say enough good things about this booster chair. I have two of them, one for each of my toddlers. My only regret is that I didn't buy this booster from the get-go and avoid the high chair completely! I spent $90 on a Graco high chair that did not work well at all for my first child. So, with my second child, I used this booster from the get-go when she started solids (about 5-6 months of age in our case) and it worked just fine for a baby as small as her...even better than the high chair, in fact.

I love that you can put the tray very close to their body if you want to help avoid spilling down into the high chair, and you can also have the tray set back further for when they get bigger (there are three tray settings). It's so much less bulky than a regular high chair. It's very affordable. And best of all...no fabric or difficult-to-clean nooks and crannies! This chair is so easy to clean. Both of my girls seemed plenty comfortable in it, too, despite no soft fabric on it. In fact, they seemed much more comfy in these boosters than they did in the big padded high chair that just kind of swallowed them up when they were little.

The only reason I rated this booster chair four stars instead of five is because I wish you could boost it a little bit higher. My youngest child is 2 years old and we have the seat at the highest setting, but it's still not quite high enough to have her sit directly up to the table with us. Yes, she is on the short side, but not THAT short. Now that she's 2, we'd rather have her sitting right at the table with us than still sitting a little ways back from the table and using the tray on her booster. So, now I'm in the market for a taller booster chair. But, I have no regrets about this purchase and the Fisher Price booster has served us very well up until now. I will certainly be using it for my next baby, too, as soon as he or she start solid foods.

The Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster seat is light-weight, easy to setup, and easy to clean. My son started using it when he was about 15 months, so instead of dragging the high chair from room to room, I can attach this to one of the dining room chairs. I like the removable tray and backrest. The ties can be a little difficult to tighten; and because its light-weight, you need to make sure that it's fastened securely. It's a great value.

I have a healthy care booster seat for my son and I purchased this booster for my daughter. This one is slightly different from the one my son uses, but all in all it's a great booster. You can't beat the price. It's easy to clean, there are no nooks and crannies for crumbs and other stuff to hide, and I like the 3 point lap belt. The booster is simple to attach and detach from a chair, and it travels well. The tray doesn't come with a cover like my son's does, but that is not a deal breaker for me. There is no seat adjuster on this booster (my son's has one), but luckily the seat is the right height for my table. If you have a higher table and/or lower seats on your chairs your child may not be at table level. If it weren't for the seat adjuster I'd have given this 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I hoped for, January 13, 2010
This review is from: Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat, Yellow and Orange (Baby Product)
My general philosophy with baby stuff is to start small, simple, and cheap, and then work my way up to more deluxe things if I find I need them. This booster seat (yellow and orange) is one time that my philosophy paid off. It works so simply and well that I don't see why anyone would get a huge, puffy, expensive high chair.
*It's so easy to clean. No cracks for food, no fabric. The tray can go in the dishwasher. Awesome.
*It's so portable. I unhook it, throw it in the car, and hook it up at a restaurant or friends' house with two quick snaps.
*It brings baby to the table with us. My 6 month old used to fuss his head off the whole time my husband and I ate dinner, but now I put him in this booster seat with a toy or cup of water and he just glows with happiness.
*It's cheap!
I haven't had it long enough to speak to its durability, but so far I'm thrilled. It's a rare treat when something is everything I hoped it would be--and this booster seat is.

I bought this booster seat because it was recommended in Toddler Bargains, and I haven't been disappointed yet. It's easy to get my son in and out of, and very easy to clean.

5.0 out of 5 stars why get a high chair when u can get this?, April 22, 2011
This review is from: Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat, Yellow and Orange (Baby Product)
When I registered for this when I was pregnant, some of my friends told me that it wouldn't really work as my main feeding chair for my son. I decided to try it out for myself before going the traditional high chair route. My son is 9 months old now, and I have absolutely NO REGRETS for getting this chair. I started giving my son solids at 5 months when he was first able to sit up independently. I didn't need to "cushion" the chair in any way. He always seemed very comfortable in it. The other more expensive "space saver" highchairs also seem like a waste of money to me. It's so easy to strap him in and just pop the tray on top. We love having him sit with us on the table and eat while we do. If he was in a bigger high chair, I would have to stand up all the time to feed him. But with this, I can sit next to him and feed him.

I received the "deluxe" edition before I saw this one and I recommend this one instead. The cover that comes with the deluxe edition is useless, I put it away and never used it. And the extra tray is also not useful, because I usually end up washing both pieces together anyway. It's very easy to clean. I also have seen lots of people complain about the other space saver high chairs that have straps that go across the shoulders. The straps will definitely get dirty and are very hard to remove and clean. With this one, the straps go around the waist and under the table, so they never get dirty.

I love this so much I bought one for my mom's house. I look forward to using it through his toddler years, and later, when we can remove the table and bring him closer to our dining table.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good booster seat and great price!, March 7, 2011

We just purchased two of the blue and green boosters for our toddlers. They are working nicely for us! I love how easy these are to clean and that the tray is very secure while attached to the booster, no little feet kicking it off! They also have nice quality straps and buckles compared to another booster we purchased in the past, and the plastic is pretty sturdy. The solid one piece thick plastic base looks like it will hold up to the daily ware that kids put on high chairs when climbing in and out before and after meals. I love the practical no fabric cover feature too because covers get sooo messy. I am a no frill mommy. My only wish is that this booster was a little taller so our young children could reach the table(when tray is detached) without boosting the boosters on something else to accomodate. Yesterday I realize that they sell another version of this booster chair with an adjustable base, the "Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat." Problem solved! I love this booster design and will be returning this version of the chair and reordering the one with a three point adjustable base. I wish I had seen it sooner!! Other then the height issue these seats works wonderfully for our family and tight quarters, and were a great price. I got two for under the price of one regular high chair! I would definately recomment ordering the five star "Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat" instead of this version.

I am very pleased with this booster seat. I got it for a 7 months old infant and she looked very comfortable in it - and she still does at 14 months. There are three setting for the tray table, depending on the size of your child. I guess it can be used without table for much older children.
It is easy to wash, easy to install and easy to transport. The only minus is that the tray table can be a bit tough to remove at times - the times when it had to be taken off in a hurry you will need to apply some force (and hence send it flying with the food over it...)
We tried other high chairs / boost seats and this one is definitely the one we prefer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, April 2, 2009
This review is from: Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat, Yellow and Orange (Baby Product)
Bought this for my sister-in-law to use when she watches our kid. It is cheap and works great. I would definitely recommend. My daughter is 9 1/2 months old and weighs 20lbs and this fits her great. Way better than spending a bunch of money on a high chair that takes up way more room in the closet when my kid is not there.

I would definitley recommend getting one of these if you have a similair situation. We have a wooden high chair from Babies R Us that we use at our house full-time and love it.
