We bought this net for our 1 year old son, knowing he probably wouldn't be playing with it for several months. Well... our 4 1/2 year old daughter LOVES it!!! It is very durable, although our son does pull it down on top of himself sometimes. I believe you can put sand in it to weigh it down more. But it's really the best one we've seen or purchased. The colors are nice, and the additional removable rim is fantastic for little learners. I highly recommend this basketball hoop for 1 1/2 - 7 years of age. Even older will probably enjoy it. Raise it or lower it easily. We'll have this around for a long time. Worth the money!!!! A lot of them are very flimsy, but this one IS NOT!

We bought this for our 14 month old daughter for Christmas, and as you can see from the video, she took to it right away. Here's the highlights: Easy to assemble, height adjustable (lowest height demonstrated in video), large hoop, sturdy and stable (may want to put sand in the base for the highest height- about double what you see in the video), comes with a nice ball that's pretty manageable for little hands and can be inflated with a standard air pump. Overall, we have enjoyed this toy, and she will have it to play with for years to come.

My son received this for his 1st birthday and he absolutely loves it. He can actually reach up and drop the ball in the net, it's very sturdy and can be adjusted for older children too!

My husband and I purchased this basketball set for our 2 year old grandson. He loves it! (so does his dad and grandfather!)BUT....we had a difficult time figuring out exactly what we were buying. Big sealed box with little helpful info on the outside.
For ex: it does not mention that it comes with a proper size basketball...and unlike the Little Tykes Basketball set, there is no indication as to how high the basket is or what the 4 heights are. And yes there is assembly required. Now that we know what we purchased, we would probably buy one for our other grand kids.

It raises and lowers from 2 to 4 feet. I am super happy with the quality. The rim thing for when they are little stores on the back of the backboard. Buy this instead of Little Tikes... the rim won't fall off.

The Easter Bunny got this for my 16 month old for Easter. He loves it. I like that it will grow with him. I put it together in about 5 minutes. I wish I had a place to put it outside. It needs sand or water in the base to be steadier. My son and husband play with it all the time.

Received this in the mail yesterday and I am very pleased with the quality. Very sturdy and perfect for a young toddler. My 15 month old son enjoys it but I think my husband and ten year old son like it more! Its fun family time, oh for me too.

I purchased this as a Xmas present for my two year old son. he loves it!!! The set is very stable and took about ten minutes to assemble. I haven't had to use sand or water at all! For a two year old, he can shoot the ball pretty well so I haven't had to use the red rim. Overall, no complaints the set takes up little space, is very durable, and loads of fun!!!

I bought this for my one year old son. He had just started to walk, and we wanted to give him a toy that would keep him busy for a while. He has an older (5yr) brother and he had watched him playing basketball, but that hoop was too tall for him. This hoop is just the right height for him, and he can easily throw the ball in from a couple of feet away. At the shortest setting, it's also small enough that he can dunk the ball, which he does routinely.

One: the latch holding the two pole pieces together isn't very strong, so the top part slid into the bottom part with one pull from my curious little guy within minutes of putting it together. Two: He is 39" tall, and the rim was at his forehead on the highest setting, He'll outgrow it in no time- it's already too easy. This should be listed as appropriate for kids of certain ages AND heights, not just based on age.
