My 5 year old loved this. It's very kid friendly and has large controls to make the dragon movement. It might be too hard for a 2-3 year old to make the dragon lunge but I think that's something they'd enjoy with mom or dad anyway. My 5 year old would make the dragon 'attack' all the time and used it quite a bit for imagine play.

The dragon is VERY durable and sturdy but doesn't have any bad pokey parts for little hands. The legs are also movable. In all, highly recommended for little ones who like dragons.

This was a perfect accompaniment to the Dragon Fortress and is big enough to look scary and fight all the knights. Easy to work and tough enough for 4 year olds.

I bought this and a couple of the other items in this line for our three year old grandson. He loves it and his eight year old brother does also. The size is great, I like that it appears to be made of good quality. I am so pleased to find s line of toys that allow the two ages to play together - not the tiny or delicate toys, not too 'over his head' or too 'babyish'. An excellent value and a good imagination stretcher. Several of these also come with a brief dvd to tell/sell the idea and a story line that is appropriate for the age group. No batteries. Hand coordination with the movement levers. Not exactly an educational toy, but the imagination has no limits and I encourage that.

I bought this toy and the batman one, my son (3 yrs.old) absolutely loves this toy. He played with it the whole time we were in Mexico, he even took it with him to the restaurants. And the batman toy, he's not interested in it.

My 6 year old son loves this toy. He plays with it and the other Imaginext toys he received for Christmas. Imaginext toys are durable and fun to play with.

My son received this for his third birthday, along with the big Imaginext castle. Seems sturdy. He loves it. So does his dad.

My grandson loves this dragon. It is red, his favorite color, and goes with his Dragon World collection. It hops or jumps or something, too. He plays with it for hours. Seems pretty durable and little-boy tough!

My grandson says sometimes he feels like he's in the castle this toy goes with and he's actually living the adventure. No TV, no video games, just his brain flying free!

This was an addition to the Imaginext Dragon Fortress. The knights obviously need a dragon to fight or team up with. This is a fun dragon as it has moving wings or moving head depending which trigger you pull/push. My boys love to play with it.

The box was new but the toy has a bend on the wing were it looks like a child pulled it hard and its whitish and not red from this. Other wise a great buy for a dragon lover child. My daughter loves this.

update July 2010 toy broke a few months ago and was thrown in trash. Be careful as this toy should be rated for a much older child as it's cheaply made. Or at least the one this store sent me appeared used and a part was discolored like someone tried to break it and that area broke a few months ago and made my 5 yr old cry very much as she loved her dragon. But if amazon had not send a bad toy I think I would gladly give it 5 stars. It was very much fun for her and to be imaginative with until it broke. And she weighs 30 lbs and is special needs so it's not like she could have broken it on purpose or should have been able to by accident given her strength. So this was not from abuse on our part but either bad toy from manufacture or from seller.
