Our daughter got the pull and spin caterpillar for christmas (she was 9months at the time). At the time she wasn't able to pull it but loved to chase the caterpillar as it was being pulled. Now at 12 months she is able to pull it herself and loves putting just about anything on the back of the caterpillar.

The toy it self has a very cute face and when pulled the eyes and ears move up and down.

The only problem with the caterpillar is the pull string. It is very small and thin allowing it to slip through little hands while trying to pull it.

Overall a wonderful toy, not only for the balls that come with it but for anything else that your little puts on it!

This toy is a wonderful addition to the roll a round line, which up until this point consisted solely of a dinosaur, a gumball machine and a turtle, so it was certainly a welcome addition. The rounds that come with the toy are very cute, but not as as related to the toy as they normally are. For instance, the gumball machibe comes with candy themed balls. Still, the rounds are alwasy cute. As for the toy itself, it is very very cute. It is easy to pull or push or drag, and moves around quite easily. The only issue I have with it how easily the balls fall out, whcih frustrates my child, and i also believe that the pull string should be a bit easier to hold. all in all, a great toy

This is a very cute toy. When it is pulled it's eyes and ears move up and down. My [...] only might like it more than my [...] The balls fall out to easy though. When it hits a turn the balls usually fly out, and I don't like that. When I bought it, it looked like there were plactic covers that went over the balls. It turned out they were not part of the toy, but it would be a good idea. We have a huge collection of the roll-a-round balls and peek-a-blocks. They are really neat toys.

I actually found this toy at a used children's store and bought it for him at about 7 months. Since then, it's become his favorite toy - played with many times every day. We were a bit concerned about the pull, as he likes to put everything in his mouth, so we cut that off. But he'll still grab it and pull it towards him, tip it over. When I push it toward him, he laughs and giggles at the face. And the rounds, he LOVES. He plays with those all day long - pushing them away, tossing them, chasing after them. It's a great toy for him, and I get a lot of enjoyment watching him with it!

I love how the balls roll and spin on this toy. It is also fun for my daughter to try putting other toys on it and watching them spin around. The balls are also fun on their own. The downfall of this toy (and why, I think, my daughter doesn't play with it much) is that when she tries to pull it, the front end lifts up and the balls fall off.

This toy is a bit silly. My daughter likes to roll the balls on the floor, but it isn't nearly as much fun as some other pull-toys she has. The balls immediately fall off the caterpillar when a child pulls it, and it isn't heavy enough to even stay upright.

It just sits on the toyshelf, looking cheesy.

I'd recommend investing in a quality wooden pull-toy, instead.

The only great things about it is that they didn't try to jazz it up with annoying flashing lights or terrible music! For that reason alone, we didn't return it.

I purchased this for my 12 month old for Christmas. The toy itself looks really cute and durable. I was able to get a good deal on this price-wise - thanks to all the Christmas sales... but honestly, I would not pay full retail for this product. There's not that much going on. For 30 bucks, it could have played music or something... but anyways...

There is a clear "dome" over the balls in its packaging and I kinda wish that was somehow a part of the toy. It would keep the balls in and save my 12 month old the frustration he has while trying to coordinate pulling the caterpillar without knocking the balls out. The cord you pull could have been a little thicker or designed better for tiny hands. Overall it's a good toy; I just hope my son doesn't get too frustrated and lose interest in it.

We got this toy for my 4 month old son thinking he could play with it when he got older. As soon as we got it, it looked so cute I decided to open it early. Thank goodness I did! My son is now 6 months old and this is his absolute favorite toy, especially the Roll-A-Round balls that it comes with. These balls have taught him how to hold things and have helped him advance his dexterity. They have also taught him how to scoot on his belly, almost to crawling, because they roll away and make him want to get to them. He has also learned how to grab across his body because of them. I highly recommend this toy and am looking to purchase more of the Roll-a-Rounds because they are such a hit in our home.
