I bought the gray Kingdom castle originally, than had to have the pink one when I saw it. (especially since it has a red-haired queen like me and my daughter :-)) I thought they would be essentially the same, but there are differeces. They dropped several parts off the pink version. The ramp in back is gone, the rail on the bedroom, the attached throne (which I didn't like anyway) one fence piece and two posts are gone. Also the torches don't light up and it comes with a dragon instead of a horse. You'd think it'd be cheaper than the original. I bought mine at Wal-mart for $1 less with TWO BONUS FIGURES though, so if you can find it with the bonus figures (maiden Mary and a horse) it's not a bad deal. I like the spinning wheel decal on the tower. I think the carriage is essential (from the night at the ball set)

I thought my 4 yr old was too old for Little People Toys - but because of the princess theme of her 4th birthday party, my sister-in-law saw this and sent it to her. She LOVES it!! This is the one toy that she has really enjoyed since her party. Everything elso was opened and looked at - but this is the one that gets played with!! We added the 'Night at the Ball' pieces and these have also added to the playtime!!

This is a cute little set but could have been better. Unlike previous reviewers, our sound works, its startlingly loud and the trumpets refuse to stay on, there is no way to keep them attached, they just fall right off. Ours did not come with thrones and a handle at the top would have been FABULOUS as our daughter likes to carry hers around. She likes it well enough, especially since we already had the Night at the Ball set. Her Disney Nursery Cinderella is JUST barely too big to fit in with this castle, but that hasn't stopped her from moving right in. If it had a carrying handle and the trumpets would stay on, as well as volume control for the trumpets, I would give it 5 stars.

I really love the Little People collection. Once I got the first set for my daughter who will be 2, I realized what a fun & creative toy it was. So I continued and will continue to purchase more sets. The only thing I didn't like about the castle, which I think is beautiful, was the attachment on the top. I don't know if its just me but I found it a bit difficult to attach. And I noticed that the gate doesn't always open when you press whatever it is you're supposed to press. But again, I love it. I think I just don't know how to put things together. :D

My daughter has the Little People Lil' Kingdom Castle. She got it last Christmas before Fisher Price came out with a special PINK edition they could market to girls. It is, essentially, the same toy as the Little People Lil' Kingdom Castle. So why is this priced $1 higher?

My daughter received this for her 2nd Christmas. Great thing about it is that it also eventually became the home of many Disney princesses that are about 2 "" tall. Saved us some money there...also very durable.

my one year old grandaughter absolutely loves the castle with it's little people and dragon, espcially the door or draw bridge that sounds trumpets

my daughter received this castle for christmas this year and just loves it. it's a great toy for role-playing and imaginative play. one warning though..as i was searching for accessories online, i naturally checked amazon first. however, i was astounded to see the price of the castle set. my mother payed $27 for this toy at toys'r us and only $7 for the maid marion accessory. it was not on sale nor any promo for the holiday. shop around, you don't need to spend over sixty dollars for this set!

My daughter received this for her birthday, and after trying 3 sets of batteries, the sound doesn't work :( But other than that, it is a great toy.

My daughters (3 and 5 year old) love this toy! Or is it because the palace is pink? Who knows???
