Unlock the Magic
Four action figures come with this set with removable helmets, swords, and shields. In case of a sudden attack from dragons or giants, it also comes with two flags and a working cannon. Six figure-activated stones provide hours of imaginative play -- simply place the figure on the point and turn to reveal secret actions! A draw bridge, opening shield, rotating wall, hidden stairs, trap door, and a secret escape bring the youngster back in time to the middle ages. A dungeon door and inner castle doors are also provided. When the child is done playing, this toy folds up for convenient, easy storage. Other play packs and accessories are available to continue the fun. With a sturdy plastic construction and quiet design, the Imaginext Adventures is a great choice for children and their parents.
Features
The nooks, crannies, and special features of this product enhance the imagination and keep active children busy. The action figures have moveable arms and legs that are easy to manipulate by little fingers. In addition, the knight's shields and swords stay in place so that the small pieces won't become lost. As the youngster grows, parents can add onto this playset with accessories and other figures, sold separately. Unlike many toys, it fosters imagination rather than replacing it, and is so quiet that kids can play for hours without disturbing their family.

Way too cool,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Imaginext Adventures Castle (Toy)
My 6YO saw this at Target and couldn't stop playing with it (in the box of course), looking it over and saying how great it was. He was so impressed that, for the first time, he didn't spend his allowance on a book or small toy, but decided to save it so in a couple months or so, he could buy this.
I looked at it with him. The castle is very sturdy and well-made. There are also lots of cute accesories that can be purchased for it. The castle and accesories are cool enough for any kid. My teen-age daughter moaned "And when I was a kid, all I had were Barbies! Why didn't we have this stuff?!?"

My 3-year old received this for his recent birthday, and he loves it. Heck, so do I! The version he has came packaged with the normally sold-separately jousting knights, so you may want to shop around at your local retailers first, or wait til Amazon gets that version. Anyway, there is a lot to do in this castle, it is a good value for the price, and it looks to be very durable. My only complaints are minor: a latch to keep the castle closed when folded up would have been nice, and the helmets/capes don't seem to stay on very well.
The other toys available for the set will make his grandparents glad they have a goal for this Christmas, as they typically have no clue what to get him.

I'm really impressed with the whole imaginext line. We bought the castle when my son was 4, and he's still loving it a year later. It's one of the few toys that continues to capture his attention. You can add on pieces to enhance the fun. Our drawbridge will no longer stay closed. I'm not exactly sure why, but it doesn't really take away from the fun. (There are screws under the drawbridge area, so we might take it apart and see if we can fix it.) Overall, I give this 5 stars.
