5.0 out of 5 stars Way too cool
My 6YO saw this at Target and couldn't stop playing with it (in the box of course), looking it over and saying how great it was. He was so impressed that, for the first time, he didn't spend his allowance on a book or small toy, but decided to save it so in a couple months or so, he could buy this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Castle for Little Ones - but Already Breaking!
This is an awesome castle set and both my 4yo and 2yo love it. There are lots of cool "secret" passages that open when you put the knights feet into them, great accessories including dragons, wizards, good and bad knights - everything you need for some great medieval imaginative play. I do like the Imaginext products better than Playmobile - for the younger set anyway...

My 6YO saw this at Target and couldn't stop playing with it (in the box of course), looking it over and saying how great it was. He was so impressed that, for the first time, he didn't spend his allowance on a book or small toy, but decided to save it so in a couple months or so, he could buy this.

I looked at it with him. The castle is very sturdy and well-made. There are also lots of cute accesories that can be purchased for it. The castle and accesories are cool enough for any kid. My teen-age daughter moaned "And when I was a kid, all I had were Barbies! Why didn't we have this stuff?!?"

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, the "cool toy" age, November 9, 2006
This review is from: Fisher-Price Imaginext Adventures Castle (Toy)
My 3-year old received this for his recent birthday, and he loves it. Heck, so do I! The version he has came packaged with the normally sold-separately jousting knights, so you may want to shop around at your local retailers first, or wait til Amazon gets that version. Anyway, there is a lot to do in this castle, it is a good value for the price, and it looks to be very durable. My only complaints are minor: a latch to keep the castle closed when folded up would have been nice, and the helmets/capes don't seem to stay on very well.

The other toys available for the set will make his grandparents glad they have a goal for this Christmas, as they typically have no clue what to get him.

I'm really impressed with the whole imaginext line. We bought the castle when my son was 4, and he's still loving it a year later. It's one of the few toys that continues to capture his attention. You can add on pieces to enhance the fun. Our drawbridge will no longer stay closed. I'm not exactly sure why, but it doesn't really take away from the fun. (There are screws under the drawbridge area, so we might take it apart and see if we can fix it.) Overall, I give this 5 stars.

My 3-year-old got this castle as a birthday present and he loves it, other toys he might play with when he gets them and then they sit in a corner and never get played with, but this castle he has played with since he got it and he plays for hours making up little stories with the people. It gets even better since you can close up the castle it is so easy to bring places with you, we brought it on vacation and it was great. i would recommend this to everyone. Great toy.

My four year-old begged me for this toy forever after seeing one at a friends house. I was afraid that it would be too "babyish" to keep him and my five year-old interested, but they absolutely love it. They play with it every day and it is durable enough that their two year-old brother can play too. They are now fascinated with everything related to knights and castles. I wish that the moving parts worked without having to put a knight in each special spot, and the drawbridge makes an unpleasant sound when lowered, but none of that bothers my boys at all. They even like to close it up and put it away when they are done, which is a bonus!

4.0 out of 5 stars My 2 year old likes it., January 15, 2007

We bought this toy for my 2 year ols son. He loves to play with it. Its a pretty sturdy toy, unlike the other imaginext toys i've read about. The castle has more little features then I realized it had when i bought it. The men and their wepons are soild too, so we don't have to worry about him breaking them. Overall I'm happy with this toy, its hard to find toys for a 2 year old thats not baby-ish or to old for him. This toy will be good for years to come.

I do like the Imaginext products better than Playmobile - for the younger set anyway. My only complaint is that our drawbridge is already broken and we've only had this castle a week! It doesn't sound like anyone else has had this problem and my boys are hard on toys but I would have thought it would have lasted for more than a week. Even with the broken drawbridge, though, it is a great set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy, November 24, 2006
This review is from: Fisher-Price Imaginext Adventures Castle (Toy)
My 3YO son picked this out as his reward for potty training and LOVES it. It is sturdy and easy for him to enjoy. My husband bought him a play mobile toy and it wasn't sturdy enough for his age - so we had to put that away until he is older. It has been about six months since we bought this and he still plays with it and when his friends come over they gravitate to it as well.
