It is great to have a potty that can be out and about with you and that it has it's own carrying case. This potty is definitely durable and easy to set up, clean up and use. I also like that it comes w/ a nice carrying case. However, I think there are other potties out there that might be a bit more portable. This one is pretty big (which is good if you have a taller...

Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go - Gray
Twenty dollars is a bargain for this great product. We make frequent road trips with our 4-year-old daughter, who is afraid of the automatic flush toilets at most highway rest stops. This potty replaces a Baby Bjorn potty chair, really meant for indoor use, that took up valuable trunk space and required either myself or my husband to find a discreet location to dump out the pee. The way I see it, here are the best features of this product:
-compact and discreet: you could take this potty just about anywhere with its tasteful carrying case slung over your shoulder without anyone being the wiser. Also, it takes up very little trunk space.
-no expensive or hard-to-find refills to buy: simply keep the bag stocked with 4 gallon trash bags and some disposable nursing pads that can be purchased at any supermarket.
-bag has lots of handy pockets for storing bags and absorbent pads, plus extra room for a package of tissues and some hand sanitizer.
-my daughter loves it and even wants to use it in the house!
If there are any drawbacks to this product, I haven't found them yet! I would have paid twice as much!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Potty, April 24, 2008

Great travel potty - I leave it right in the car to use even in town while shopping. It pops open quickly and really feels sturdy. The seat is close enough to a real toilet seat size that my child feels secure sitting on it and there isn't a problem catching everything.
The carrying bag is useful as a disguise for the toilet and keeps it clean while being tossed around the car. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent portable potty!, April 23, 2008
This review is from: Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go - Gray (Baby Product)
We had a port-a-potty in the back of our minivan, a camping kind that you fill with deodorizer and water to flush it. Works great but is huge and a pain to empty/clean when full. It was necessary when my 2 girls were younger because they potty trained early (20 months) AND had to go potty constantly.

Now that the emergencies are few and far between, I took out the port-a-potty and replaced it with the Fisher Price Potty on the Go. It is the best invention ever!! I love how you don't have to buy special, expensive refill bags for it- the manufacturer suggests any 4 gallon bag with some sort of pad (nursing or maxi) stuck inside. Even though the directions don't specify, I keep the potty folded in the carry bag with the disposable bag already attached, so all I have to do when we need it is unfold the three legs to prop it up. Easy and convenient! It will come in handy for my third child, whom I expect to potty train this summer.

It is great to have a potty that can be out and about with you and that it has it's own carrying case. This potty is definitely durable and easy to set up, clean up and use. I also like that it comes w/ a nice carrying case. However, I think there are other potties out there that might be a bit more portable. This one is pretty big (which is good if you have a taller child), so it has to be hooked to the stroller b/c it doesn't fit into the basket underneath. Also- it only comes w/ 4 bags and pads so you have to separately purchase more bags and pads (or makeshift create your own, which we do) and not a whole lot of bags and pads will fit into the carrying bag. Since we are potty training right now, we can easily go through 4 bags in one morning outing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very handy, August 24, 2008

The Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go has come in very handy! My 2 year-old daughter doesn't always give us much warning when she has to potty, so we just keep this in the car. It's super easy to use and set up. When she's finished, I wipe the seat down with anti-bacterial wipes and put it back in the case. The case has pockets to keep a little bit of toilet paper in, along with anti-bacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, extra absorbent pads (they're just cheap breast pads), and a change of panties if needed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Potty on the Go A+ Worth Every Cent!, June 7, 2008
This review is from: Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go - Gray (Baby Product)
I recently purchased this Fisher Price Potty On the Go. I was so happy when it arrived, the carry case is really nice and discreet looking, it fits easily in my trunk and I take it everywhere. I no longer have to worry when I take my toddler who is in the middle of potty training out of the house. She loves that it's a little higher than the regular potty chairs. I love the fact that I can avoid public restrooms. I look forward to using this on our next road trip and also camping. It folds easily and it comes with nice bags but I know I can also use any kind of bag I want like supermarket plastic bags (reuse/recycle!). I recommend this to anyone and even if a child is a little older, it can come in handy if you need to pull over someplace on a long trip. It's so clean to use you never touch anything you just tie a knot in the bag and toss it out. I haven't used the pads they included (they look like nursing pads) to absorb so far I just use only the bag, I also keep a clean bag in it at all times so I don't have to first insert a bag when I am about to use it for my toddler. The carry case even fits in the bottom of my stroller basket. I'm always going to have this travel potty with me and I'm so glad I found it. ps It's also great to leave at Grandma's house when my daughter stays overnight until she is ready to use the bathroom toilet. My child is 34 lbs and fits on it very comfortably I think she could use this camping too for up to about 50 lbs.

5.0 out of 5 stars How excited can you get about a portable potty??, April 27, 2008
By
This review is from: Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go - Gray (Baby Product)
Answer: Pretty darn excited if it is the Fisher Price Potty-On-the-Go!

Seriously as a Mom of a potty training toddler, I didn't want to get caught without a travel potty for car rides or trips to the park. Who wants to use a gas station bathroom or a park's porta-potty. GROSS!!!

This Potty-On-the-Go is perfect. It doesn't require "special" bags--any bag will do. It gives you a few bags and pads to soak up the liquid. But then tells you that you can use any type of bag and any thing to soak up the pee. I am going to cut up a few too small diapers for this purpose.

The bag that the potty is carried in is very nice and dare I say almost stylish?? It doesn't scream "I am carrying a potty!!" It is a grayish color with line green accents.

The potty itself is easy to set up and my toddler pees on it so it must be comfy! I keep it in the car for roadside emergencies. I just set it up in the back of my SUV and she pees away!

Overall, I am totally pysch with my purchase! Two of my friends have bought this for their kiddos, too!

4.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT BUY, October 16, 2008
This review is from: Fisher-Price Potty On-the-Go - Gray (Baby Product)
THE POTTY ON-THE-GO IS SUCH A GREAT PURCHASE AND A GREAT PRICE. WE PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT FOR OUR 3 YEAR OLD BECAUSE WE DO ALOT OF TRAVELING AND TO JUST HAVE IT IN THE CAR WHILE DOING ERRANDS. THIS PRODUCT IS VERY STURDY AND VERY EASY TO WHIP OUT AND SET UP. I WOULD ADVISE SETTING UP THE POTTY WITH THE BAG AND PAD, SO ITS READY TO GO. THE POTTY IS A BIT BIG, BUT THE BAG IT COMES WITH IS GREAT. YOU CAN PUT EXTRA BAGS, WIPES, TISSUES, ETC. I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO GET THIS PRODUCT.

I LOVE this product! It is sturdy, simple and easy to use and even easier to clean! We have taken it along with us to horse racing events and long road trips and even the beach. It is compact and folds easily, and the travel case makes for descreet transport and tag-along. I highly recommend it. The boys love it and it is comfortableand easy for them to use. It does not pinch like other potty seats. I can see us getting many years out of this product!
