This really has been a wonderful addition to our home and our baby always loved this. He would sit and watch the little fishies spin and listen to the music or the bubbling sound effects. He never seemed to be bored! I would feed him in this and after his meal, attach the toy bar and have at least 15 minutes to straighten up and clean up. It worked great for me to catch 10 minutes here and there. Sometimes he would even fall asleep when I would use the vibrating feature.
Luca used this from about 2 months until about 9 months and I changed the batteries 3 times. I liked having the ability to change the sounds from music to water effects. This bouncer enables you to put it in interactive mode where your infant's movements will cause the toy bar to react with lights and sounds. Perhaps around 5 months,my little guy discovered and really enjoyed this feature. All your baby has to do is wiggle or kick their little feet while seated in this and their little movements will make the toy bar react. You can also switch the toy bar's lights and sounds into a continuous mode. This is great for when your baby is younger. I was sorry when my son outgrew this because it was something he enjoyed so very much. Our neighbor is now using it for their 3 month old daughter and they love it as much as we did. One final and wonderful feature of this is the ease of removing the pad the great way the fabric washes. Mine was always in the washer and dryer and never shrunk or faded! The plastic cleaned extremely well. After 6 months of continuous use and cleaning, this product looks brand new! Very, very pleased with this!

Bouncer seats are perhaps one of the greatest baby inventions! This seat is very aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. The lullabies are quite soothing and the vibration seems to have a calming effect on my daughter. I agree that the aquarium bar makes it hard to be face to face with your baby, but odds are good that if your baby's in this seat, you're trying to get something done in your home! And the point is to have her look at the calming sea creatures and bubbles, not you! We had stopped using this when my daughter began sitting up alone around 5mos. However, now that she is 11mos., we pulled it out of the closet in the midst of cleaning and she has rediscovered it, and enjoys it in a whole new way. Although we cannot leave her side when she is in it now because she can topple over as she tries to climb out, she does enjoy having some down time in it and will sit and relax for as long as 20 minutes. I highly recommend this bouncer seat (or another- they're really not all that different and none last for more than a few months- why spend a ridiculous amount of $$?).

Water in tank evaporates over time; how to refill,
By antijean "antijean" (Boston, MA) - See all my reviews

My oldest son (5) loved this bouncer, so did the kid we passed it down to, and so does my youngest son.
It's already been amply reviewed but I thought people might be interested in how it ages: - active toddlers WILL be fascinated with sitting on the chair part, and torture it until it's no longer safe for infants, so put this toy away promptly when the kids are too big to sit in it (we had to replace the seat after my friend's son broke it) - the water in the tank evaporates over the years so the bubbles no longer do a good job spinning the starfish, etc. We refilled the tank ourselves with the following equipment: phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, heat gun, glue gun (or epoxy), big sterile syringe, sterile water 1. remove toy bar so it's no longer getting power 2. unscrew screws in the white part of the toy bar and open it up. Note the positions of the kick toys and buttons, which will probably fall out while you're trying to refill the tank. 3. on the upper part of the tank, search for the plug for the hole for filling the tank. It's sealed on with something like epoxy or hot glue 4. CAREFULLY blast the plug with heat gun until the sealant is soft enough that the plug can be pried off with flathead screwdriver 5. use the big syringe to top off the tank with more water. We noticed that the old liquid in there made swirling patterns where it met the new water; we reckon that the old liquid might contain something like glycerin to make it more viscous, or preservatives to keep it from getting yucky 6. reseal the plug onto the tank with hot glue or epoxy... actually we lost the plug so we filled a small plastic button with hot glue and stuck that on... time will tell whether it does a good job sealing the water in 7. try out the toy bar in the seat and rejoice if it works! 8. take it out again and replace the buttons and kick toys (orange fish goes on the right hand side, from infant's point of view. The fish face in, towards each other.) Close up the toy bar. Hope that helps keep some of these excellent toys out of the landfill!

Our son loved this chair from the day we brought him home all the way until he was around 10 months...but we had a few issues with it which is the reason for the one star removed.
Positive: Our baby loved the vibrations, lights, and the moving bubbles and fish. He liked to kick the hanging toys when he was little. The music has a volume adjustment, which is nice. The restraint is good if fitted properly on the baby. The unit is very stable and has nice rubber feet to prevent slippage if the baby is bouncing. BabiesRUs has provided excellent customer service regarding this item. We never had a problem getting it replaced. (see below) Negative: We had to get this item replaced 5 times. The first few times were right away because the bubbles did not work right out of the box. Then, three times, we had to take it back because our baby broke the frame from bouncing so hard. He was around 20 lbs. when this happened all three times, so beware, if you have a big and active baby, this product may not last long for you. It is rated up to 25 lbs, but I don't see this happening unless a baby is just lying there not bouncing. This was last year, and I see that they have updated the chair a bit. Maybe they have addressed some of these issues...Although when I looked at it in the store, the frame appeared to be of the same design and thickness, so hard to say. The visual unit looked the same too. Could be just new fabric. Overall a great product, if you get a "good" one, and if you don't mind getting it replaced if you get a "bad" one (or two).

best bouncer - able to bounce baby with one foot,
By Cat (Boston, MA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fisher-Price Think Pink Bouncer (Baby Product)
Fisher price (FP) designs many bouncers, but this style is the best due to the leg design. Some of the FP bouncers have very stiff legs so they do not bounce easily. The legs curve/bow out from the seat (check out image of product). Because of this leg design you can easily place your foot and bounce the baby. My baby will fall asleep with me bouncing and then I turn on the vibration and leave her be.
I wasn't crazy about the PINK design, but I know the leg design is offered with a Bunny print as well, but that appears to be discontinued. The key thing is to find the FP bouncer that has the legs that curve/bow out from the seat base.

Great Bouncer,

This review is from: Fisher-Price Playful Puppy Bouncer (Baby Product)
I initially bought the Rainforest bouncer but wasn't too happy with it. The hanging toys hung way too low and were made of a hard plastic. My baby got his foot stuck in them. I returned it for this one and my baby boy loves it. He smiled immediately at the puppy when I turned it on and watched it the entire time then went to sleep. I actually liked the idea of this bouncer because the puppy is more upbeat rather than soothing like the other bouncers so my baby gets some playtime. By the time he gets tired, the puppy and music shuts off and he sleeps peacefully in the vibrating chair. My ONLY minor complaint is I wish the ball on the toy bar cracked or squeaked. But overall, a terrific purchase!

We could only use this for 3 months,
By Jodi S. (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Bouncer (Baby Product)
My daughter liked this bouncy seat, but figured out how to twist her body until she was horizontal by 3 months old. The reason is the strap around the waist. The straps are attached at the hip area and hook into a strip of fabric that comes up between your baby's legs, thus hooking by the belly button. Compare this to Fisher Price's Kick and Play bouncer where the fabric comes up between your baby's legs and "t's" out to hook by the hip area. The extra fabric makes a HUGE difference in restraining your baby. If your baby is really active, this may not be the seat for you the seat for you.

The Ten Bouncer,
By Peanut "Jenni" (Indianapolis, In USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Bouncer (Baby Product)
I purchased the Ocean Wonders Aquarium Bouncer this morning. After ten minutes of use the music started skipping. It kept playing about five seconds of one song and then started right back at the beginning of that song. I have read a few reviews, and all of them keep saying the same thing, that the music gets really loud after awhile. Well, now the music is not loud, it just plays two tunes of a song over and over and over.

A Must-Have,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Bouncer (Baby Product)
This bouncer is among my favorite baby products. We first used it when my son was about a week old when my parents, my husband, and I stood dumbfounded as it stopped him from crying. It has been an essential item since. It didn't hit every single time in the beginning (it was our secret weapon then) but as he got older it consistently entertained him. At first he obviously could just look at it but it was really fun seeing him develop and first play with the hanging toys and then touch the fish and bubbles on the screen. He is now 10 months and will outgrow it soon (he's already almost 25 pounds) and we will all miss it terribly. Many kudos to Fisher Price -- something about the moving fish and bubbles and corresponding lights, sounds, and music fascinate the little ones. Two other babies in my son's playgroup who did not have it tried it at around six months and were fascinated as well. [NOTE: I noticed that there is a new version and that some stores are still selling the old version. The remainder of this review applies to the older version with the green and purple-patterned seat. The newer version with a blue-patterned seat has more fabric at the bottom and a buckle underneath versus the velcro. These seem to improve the product in the areas I mention although I have not tried or washed the new seat.] The reason that I did not give it five stars is that even though we washed the cover on a gentle cycle and line-dried it, it was very difficult for me to get it back on the metal frame. There were gaps on both bottom edges of the seat which my son got his foot stuck into a couple of times when he was very young, which breaks your heart. I would have given another product a low amount of stars because of this but he was not injured and this product is fantastic in every other way. As a word of caution also be sure the cover is securely fastened to the velcro (the velcro on the underside is easy to miss) or it will sag or come undone (the instruction manual does not mention this). I cannot comment on the vibration aspect because we rarely used it -- he was way more entertained by the screen and sounds. Overall, a great product.

A "Must Have" for new baby,
By Ethan's Mommy (Frisco, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Bouncer (Baby Product)
This bouncer honestly saved my life when my newborn came into the world. At times, as new parents, we could not figure out how to soothe our baby. (Now we are pros with a baby who is happy and sleeps through the night for 12 hours since he was 4 months old!) Anyway, we finally found out that occassionally he just wanted to be left alone. When we put him in his Aquarium Bouncer, he was immediately soothed by the vibrations, soft music, and the sound of bubbling water. He even fell asleep in it several times. I would bring this chair into my bathroom and set it next to the tub while I soaked in a bubble bath. What a luxury! At 7 months, we still use this on occasion when he is fussy in the evening and not yet ready for bedtime. He is a big baby and will outgrow it soon, which is sad. I wish he could stay little forever! But this bouncy chair was worth the small investment. It still looks brand new and I will be saving it for my next baby...
