I bought this toy for my daycare kids and they love it. Even the 2 year olds were pounding away on the button that make the wheel with animals turn around. I love the cute animals, and yes it would be nice if all of the animals were detachable. Also, I wish the animals they are detachable clicked more when their limbs are moved. The music is nice. The big attractions of this toy are the three cute animals and the wheel that spins them around. My kids were putting cars and other toys on the wheel to see them fly off. Could be better, but for the sale price it's a winner and a toy I will keep around in daycare.

I bought this for my 11 month old -- and neither of us is thrilled. The cow, chick and horse come off, but nothing else does...this is frustrating for a curious toddlers. It may be entertaining for smaller babies, but with so much plastic already living in parents' living rooms, I wouldn't waste your money on this one. There is a reason it is selling for 60% off - it's not very much fun!

?BPA and phthalate?,

We have a few of the larger fisher price toys, like the activity table and the sing a long stand, which our daughter loves. This toy, however is smaller and has smaller parts like the animals which she puts in her mouth constantly. Unfortunately, FP will not disclose whether BPA or phthalates are present--I've called twice to find the info and they won't give me a straight yes or no answer. The little animals are really cute but I don't let her play with them without supervision due to this issue. Plus, the animals are heavy enough that when placed on the round part that spins, it doesn't spin correctly. In general, our daughter doesn't really find this toy that interesting. She'll play with it for a few minutes and then is quickly bored---unlike her other FP toys. Wish FP would just be honest about what goes into their products.

I bought this for my daughter for her 1st birthday. It's now a year later, and she still enjoys playing with it, now in different ways. I like the variety it offers. Here's the details:
- Push/pull the pig in the barrel to get snorts. - Roll the cylinder at the top of the barn to hear different sounds & see flashing lights. - Push down on the plunger to activate the rotating center stage and hear a variety of farm-themed songs. Place the animals on the stage and watch them spin! - Feel the texture of the corncob as you slide it up and down the pole. - Flip the hinged hen upward to reveal the baby chick underneath & hear a "baak-baak" sound. - The cow's legs move forward and backward so you can pretend to walk it. The head moves in a "yes" motion, and the feet bottoms have different textures and colors. - The horse's legs move forward and backward so you can pretend to walk it. The head moves in a "no" motion, and the feet bottoms have different textures and colors. - The duck is a rattle. (Note: I only paid $22 for this on clearance at Target in 2007.)

My son loved to play with this toy while lying on his tummy...he could use his hand to move the turntable and make the song. Now that he's older and sitting up he still loves this toy and I think he will like it for quite a while. The little songs are annoying, but my baby really loves it and it helped him tolerate tummy time which is a very good thing. I would highly recommend this toy.

Her little face lights up when I hand it to her and she carrys him all around. This toy will deffinitley be a favorite for awhile and I highly recommend it, boy or girl!!

This toy was a hit for my infants, ages 13 months to 1 year. They love the animals, the sounds, lights and the spinning platform. I felt for the money it was well constructed with sturdy parts. The parts are all big enough not to have to worry about infants putting them in there mouths and becoming a hazard. My older children (2 yrs) loved to play with it also. For the money it was a good deal. I would recommend it to parents.

I bought this for my daughter when she was 6 months old and learning to sit on her own. I figured it might encourage her for sit up play, but she would tip it over and use it in the tummy position till she was really good at sitting at her own. The little animals that come with it don't interest her as much as the base does. It keeps her busy for a good while however -- the colors, music, and lights attract her. She is now 8 months old, and still plays with it.

My daughter (now 7 months) has been playing with this toy at daycare since she was about 4 months, as they'd sit her up assisted and play with it. They commented on how all the babies love this toy. I got her one for home at about 5 months, and she will play with it for at least 20 minutes at a time. She picks it up and turns it upside down to spin the wheel at the top and to spin the main wheel that the animals sit on. She doesn't really play with it with the animals yet, those are almost like a separate toy for her to teethe on. But she'll play with this sitting up on her own, or even laying on her belly on the floor. She's very intrigued by it. I look forward to getting her the zoo one like it for Christmas.

My daughter got this at 6 months old and STILL likes playing with it at almost 12 months old. It teaches her cause and effect, and it also helps babies learn some fine motor skills as they spin the wheels, press buttons, open, and twist. I just leave it out in her play space, and she plays with it for at least a few minutes every day. Around 6-7 months, it was played with for over 30 minutes a day until she "figured it out" -- this is definitey a mommy must-have!
