This toy has lasted us two years- we've only changed the batteries once and it has not so much a scratch after some VERY aggressive play by my son.

It still captures his interest and he loves to chomp things in the mouthpiece.

I got this on clearance a little before Christmas for [..] and consider one of our top 10 toy purchases.

We own many Fisher Price Imaginext toys and I can't recommend them enough.

You can find this toy on sale clearanced out at Walmart for $10!! We bought several to give as gifts. My son loves it and has most all of the imaginext dinosaurs. It's very durabale...it's been dropped several times and still works without a glitch.

Great toy for your dinosaur lover. Sturdy toy that takes abuse. Stands up well alone in posable positions. Squeeze the trigger by his tail and he roars and moves all around in real dinosaur like motion. My son loves that he opens and closes his mouth like he is biting you. Great for toddlers!

The Imaginext T-Rex is a terrific toy! Our grandson's eyes turned into saucers when he first opened this Christmas gift. Then when he pressed the activation button, those eyes became dinner plates! He has played with it for many hours since that day and it is still operating perfectly, even though this three-year-old can be very rough on toys. I think it is an excellent choice for boys in the preschool age group because it truly encourages imaginative play. We will be ordering another dinosaur from this line for our grandson's birthday.

We bought this for my 7 year-old son, who is a dinosaur fanatic. It was something he requested from "Santa" and we relinquished. Personally, I think it's a little young for him, but--hey--it's Christmas. Also, we figured my 5 year-old daughter would share.

We also purchased the imaginext set that included an Allosaurus and a pterydactyl (sp?). The kids thought it was great fun. The noise is a little annoying to adults (after a while). I gave it 3 stars for fun and 3 stars for educational value, simply because they're dinosaurs, and I think any dino would rate 3. Also, the entire upper neck and head move and the t-rex roars while the eyes light up. Great for augmenting imaginative play.

Now, the bad news (and it's bad). The t-rex started to malfunction after just 3 days of play. The gearing must have wore down, and the neck and body would get stuck. Unfortunately for us, we already threw out most of the packaging. It has screws for taking apart, but it also looks like it's glued. So, for durability; a big ZERO.

Overall, I gave this a 1. In reality, it doesn't even rate that, but--once again--it's a dinosaur and the kids will probably still play with it, if for no other reason the sound. I'm not fond of cheap plastic animatronic toys, durability is a main reason why.

I purchased this product used from Amazon and it is exactly what I expected it to be: highly durable and entertaining. My son enjoys taking mega t-rex with us where ever we go. Kids and adults are very interested in mega t-rex as he is an attention grabber with his moving about and roaring. Fisher Price NEEDS to re-issue this product, it would be incredibly short-sighted and stupid not to. This toy is that good!

My three year old grandson, a T-Rex lover, thinks this toy is great. I gave it to him for his birthday and he plays with it constantly.

This was a gift to my son for his 3rd birthday. It has lasted us 3 yrs and now my 3 yr daughter is also playing with it. I just purchased it at Toys r us for my nephew and paid $25.00 for it. It seems way over priced at $49.99. Well worth it for $25.00 not for $50.00.

My grandson loved this dinosaur! The sound effects and movement are first rate and the extra figures that came with it were a fun surprise.

I bought this T-Rex for my grandson for his birthday and it was a hit! My husband and I both couldn't resist playing with it before we gave it to him! With the realistic roaring sounds, head and body movements, and eyes lighting up, we had to push the button every time we passed it! Great buy!
