3.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun, but don't leave unattended. May 17, 2011

I bought this because my 6month old is obsessed with my laptop. He definitely likes it, bangs on the keys and has enough different settings for it to not get too repetitive or boring. The main reason I did not give it high stars was the ability to open and close it. He likes that almost more than playing with the buttons. The only problem is he keeps shutting it on his fingers. Just shutting it isn't enough to hurt him, but he leans on it for support crushing his fingers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the real thing but amusing May 4, 2011

My 14-month-old grandson is obsessed with our real laptops. Loves to bang on a real keyboard and see images on the screen. The FP Smart Screen Laptop was worth the money; he loves to open and close it and hit all the keys, while enjoying the music. He's too young to really be learning anything. Teaches numbers in Spanish as well, which is a bonus. Works fine after being dropped many times. He still prefers our real laptops, but this gives him a chuckle for a few minutes.

Mom and Daddy both need to do computer work in the evenings. When they do, out comes Lucas' personal puter and he is happily occupied for a long time. If you ask what he is doing, he very seriously replies,"work!"

5.0 out of 5 stars One-Year Old Grandchild Loves it! June 19, 2011
Product Packaging:Retail|Amazon Verified Purchase
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
We bought this for our grandchild when he stays the weekend with us. He was 10 mos. when we purchased it, he is now one and still loves it. He was always coming over and hitting the keys on our laptop and also on his daddy's lap top who works from home. Now he has his own laptop and he does the same thing, but the laptop responds back to him depending on the key or keys hit and so he plays with it for 30 minutes or more. He loves to open and close it to hear the all the different responses. Quite often he will play with it in bed at night until he falls asleep. I think this is a great toy for mimicking our daily lifestyle since we must use the computer for work at home. He thinks he is doing the same thing and leaves our laptops and us alone for a good amount of time so that we can work from home with less interruptions. I highly recommend this toy, it stimulates the child for a longer then normal amount of time and it is very educational at the same time.

My son received this for Christmas when he was 7 months old, and absolutely LOVED this toy then. He's 16 months old and still loves it. It's very durable, and the colors, sounds, and lights are absolutely mesmorizing for my little guy. He loves it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Spanish? August 8, 2012
Product Packaging:Retail
Durability: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I got this toy as a gift and was excited when I read it has Spanish as well because we live in a bilingual house. My recommendation is to not buy it for the Spanish as only the numbers are in Spanish. And when you put the setting on Spanish the only two words that are actually in Spanish are hola and adios. Really? So the toy is fine, but advertising that they have Spanish is a joke.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, educational, portable & durable! October 12, 2011

My son has had this toy for 3 months now. It has been thrown, kicked and dropped countless times and it is still going strong. He got it when he was 9 months and is now saying some words that the toy specifically taught him. As an added endorsement, I took it with him to his pediatrician's appointment and it was the big hit in the waiting room!

There is nothing wrong with this toy but I have definitely seen nicer lap top toys. This is limited in its activities.

My grandsons just loved it. They love the flashing colors and sounds. They do open and close it, so I worry about their fingers getting pinched sometimes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a favorite
We have had this for about 6 months now and my 12 month old still doesn't seem very interested in it. I think it is cute, but he finds the TV remotes more exciting. :(
