I first saw this toy on the FP website and couldnt wait to try it out!My 7 month old daughter couldnt wait for me to get it out of the box she was so excited! There are so many different learning tools on this toy, colors, numbers, alphabet, songs, manners, shapes. It really is a toy that will grow with your baby. From just ammusing them while they are younger to helping them learn when they are older. The music in fisher price toys just keeps getting better and better. I never thought I would buy my daughter musical toys but I actually dont mind the music in this. The technology just keeps improving and it gets better sounding with each toy they bring out. The birds and the bee are just too cute on this toy as well. The birds bobble and the you can push the bee around the bottom of the bird bath. My daughter gets a kick out of the birds. This is a toy you will get a lot of use out of! As for some of the other reviewers complaining about the toy getting "stuck" or not shutting off, they simply need to replace the batteries. My daughter played with this almost everyday and it was a couple months before we needed to change the batteries. UPDATE: We have now had this toy for 1 year and it has withstood the test of time. At first she loved to bobble the birds and hear the songs, then she loved the counting numbers. Over the past years this has helped her to learn colors, she knew which "veggie" was which color and its shape, her numbers (she counts to ten easily) and words such as "I love you mommy". After 1 year Im totally impressed with how this has grown with my daughter. She still loves to play with it everyday but in a whole new way. This is a great investment for the little money it costs. Plus it has held up to her throwing it around and still looks and works brand new! Update part 2: Another baby makes more fun! We had our second daughter 4 months ago. My oldest still loves this birdbath, the music and counting. She will tap on the pond and make it count then run around the room yelling, "One, Two, Three!". She is now trying to show the baby how to play with it by guiding her hands and making things happen. For a toy to withstand a 26 month old's playing for nearly two years and still look new is AWESOME!!! This has been the best investment in a toy we have ever made. We know that when the new baby becomes more playful it will only get better! Thanks you Fisher Price for making wonderful toys! Just buy this toy already! You and your babies/toddlers will love it!

I just got this and its the best! My daughter got so excited as soon as it was out of the box, she couldnt wait to play with it. Its true it does tip if your baby is especially excited but I learned very quickly (like 2 minutes) to place another toy that is larger and heavier behind it so it would fall. I also place it between her legs as she is sitting up so its close enough for her to not need to tip it.I opened this toy up at 5:30 and she played with it until almost 7:00! Her dinner time is 6:00 and usually at 10 til she will start to get a little fussy telling me she is hungry. Well she was so involved in this toy she didnt realize she was hungry and just played until it was almost her bathtime! Of course once I put her in her high chair she realized just how hungry she was! But thats how much fun she had with this. The birds on here are too cute, a mommy and baby bird. The mommy says 'your so sweet baby' and the baby says 'I love you mommy'! They say other things as well but I think those two phrases are especially cute. This is an awesome toy, definatley a must have that will grow with your baby for a long time. Shapes, numbers, colors, manners, and tons of songs that sound good.

A Kid's Review

I got this for the babies at my daycare. Most of the 18 month olds can count with it. They loves the counting resulting from pushing the middle part. They also loves the mommy and baby bird, and the music. Really good toy! We had to buy two so they wouldn't fight over it so much.

Great toy,

At 4 months, my daughter was intrigued by the music and birdbath features. At five months, she actively hits at it and likes the vegetables at the bottom. Her best friend, who is 7 months, played with this for 45 minutes before her Mom took her away from it and stated that she couldn't believe it and needed to buy one.

I bought it for my daughter when she was 8 months and she can not stop playing with it. It teaches her shapes, colors, coordination and music while having fun. We have so much fun watching her dance with the music and attempt to place back shapes in their appropriate places. The music selection is pleasant and fun. Even my 3 year old niece enjoys playing with it!

My husband and I bought this birdbath a few weeks before our twins started sitting up around 6 months old. They absolutely adored its sounds from the very beginning and the toy has grown so nicely with them! They are now 9 months old and are able to take the shapes out (and have never had them get stuck in their mouths) and they interact with it more! They love to chew on the shapes and bang on their highchair trays with them. The construction of the shapes is a parents dream come true as well, because they don't leave marks! The plastic is dyed, not painted and the entire toy is very durable. Our little ones loved the music mode when they were younger, but now prefer the learning ABC 123 mode. The lights and sounds bring many smiles to our two little chubs and we will definitely be using this toy for many more months! A definite FIVE STAR rating!

I even caught the babysitter playing with this toy!!!! My son is 2 1/2 years old, with multiple disabilities, and he ADORES this toy!!!! The music, sounds, lights, adjustable volume, learning and music settings, easy to push birds and buttons, as well as "easy to explore with hands and mouth" toy vegetables, make this toy get rave reviews from this mom and son!!!! By far, my favorite toy on the market right now! Too bad Walmart and ToysRUs don't sell this one in the stores....on-line only!!!!This is a MUST, and you'll love the upbeat music that is different from most toys! I cannot say enough good things about this one!!!!

I must say...I saw this toy and thought, "my son would like this because it has the pond that makes a splashing sound". I got it for him for Christmas when he was 11 months old and he just LOVES it! We play almost every night with it and he pulls the veggies in & out and laughs at the sounds. He spins the bee over and over, and giggles when we sing "10 Little Indians". I like the fact that the pond is big enough for him to hit and make it pay music. He bops the birds up & down and watches them bobble & play music. He is 14 months old now and still has not gotten sick of it! We have never had any isues with it, and I have yet to replace the batteries!!! I cannot say enough about this toy - I do so much research on toys, hoping I don't waste my money and fill my house with toys Luke never plays with. We have 1 or 2 flops, but this toy is a MUST for a boy or a girl! To make it even nicer (for the parents), there is an on/off switch (which I noticed some toys no longer come with because they auto-shut off, but then when you bump them they turn on and play) AND an auto shut-off. There are also 2 volume levels (for ease on the ears of the parents because we all know after 2 hours of the SAME toy, it can get a little redundant!)Again, I think this toy is absolutely fantastic and worth every penny...and so does Luke!

I bought this for my daughter when she was 5 months old and she has had endless hours of fun with it since then! (She's almost 8 months now) She loves making the birds talk and taking out the vegetable blocks. The ABC song that plays when she spins the bee is her favorite....she's constantly spinning it around to hear the song...especially when I or her Daddy are around to sing along with it to her. The only small gripe I might have with it is that I wish that the base was a little heavier because she was constantly trying to pull herself up on it and toppling it over. However, the silver lining to that cloud is that it seems to have helped her learn to balance herself very well because she can pull herself up on it and keep it and herself upright very well now!

Vegetables got stuck in my babies mouth,

I also experienced a problem with the vegetables getting lodged in my daughters mouth. I gave this toy to her when she was 6 months old. We took the vegetable pieces away from her and let her play with the rest of the toy because she does love it. Be sure to carefully supervise your baby if they are playing with the vegetable pieces.
