I bought this for my 21 month old son about 3 weeks ago and I am not kidding he has not stopped playing with it since. He has every toy under the sun and is pretty much only interested in this one since bringing it home. HE actually found it at the store and taught himself how to work the display. It comes with a software cartride that has Dora the Explorer, Sesame street (Elmo) and Sponge Bob, this sampler is one of the best ones, just awesome. Hubby and I know all the songs now and my son has become a master dancer at this point. From the second he started playing (he likes to play with it standing) he started shaking his booty like there was no tomorrow (cutest thing you've ever seen). He loves that he has the control to choose which "page" he wants to be on and which song he want to here. The interactive touch screen is FANTASTIC and works perfectly every time. The microphone may be the best childs microphone we've ever seen, it works great and he loves that he can record himself on this. We now own ALL the cartridges and every single one is fantastic. Each cartridge teaches something new, and he truly uses every single one every single day. My son has learned so much since playing with this and really enjoys learning. I cannot recommend this more highly especially if your child loves music as does mine. This toy is a MUST HAVE!

When visiting her older cousins, my daughter got to play with this toy, which belonged to my 3 year old nephew. He is special needs, and can be VERY hard on toys. He would drop it, throw it and step on it on an hourly basis. The fact that it still worked like a champ after at least 6 months of him owning it was a miracle in itself.

They sent us one as a gift for my daughter, 13 months, after seeing how much she liked it, and she cannot get enough of this toy!

I love that it is durable, literally - she stands on it sometimes, and it's fallen I don't know how many times. It's not too big for her to carry around or manipulate, and she figured out how to work it immediately.

For now just listening to the songs, watching the screen rotate and making noises into the microphone keeps her happy. But her older cousins love the educational games on the cartridges they have, and really get a kick out of singing into the microphone.

The cartridges are big and sturdy, and easy for a child to put in himself if they are old enough.

It would be nice if the microphone cord were longer, but I'm guessing it would be a safety hazard to make it longer. Teh speaker is REALLY loud but some clear packing tape over it muffled it enough for our comfort. A lower volume control would be nice.

Overall, I've seen it work for a 13 month old, 3 year old and a 5 year old. If it broke I would replae it immediately, only one other toy we own gets more mileage.

I was very disappointed when I saw that the original LTM toy was discontinued and sold out at all stores and only the LTM Plus was available. I went to the store to test it out and was disappointed by the demo...thought it was pretty boring for the money. But I decided to buy it anyway and I am very glad I did. We took it out of the box last night and tested it out (out of demo mode) and now I can't wait for my 18 month old daughter to play with it Christmas morning! We originally thought of buying it beause she liked the original LTM so much that she sat on a strangers lap at Target to play with it...VERY fun toy!
