5.0 out of 5 stars It's a home run!
I purchased this for my two year old nephew. He was playing with it non-stop since opening the box. In fact, when his father got home from work the following day at midnight, my nephew had woken up and immediately starting playing with it. His father played with him for about an hour, thinking he would go down, but he wouldn't stop! Finally, he tried to put him to bed...

Bought this for daughter who does love it. But there are design issues I'd have thought would have been worked out by now. Bought this for daughter who does love it. But there are design issues I'd have thought would have been worked out by now. I was growing up in the 80's and Fisher Price had much nicer play houses then that were larger and had more rooms to them. This one is much differently designed, smaller, less rooms. It has sound effects to it which could be nice: phone rings, doorbell, toilet flushes. But the toilet only flushes if you RAISE the lid ????? and should flush when you lower the lid. The front door NEVER stays on. You don't even have to mess with it much like open it, you touch it and it just falls off the hinges because they didn't make them well. Overall daughter loves it (nothing to compare to) but as a parent I'm disappointed.

The next morning, he called "dada? dada?", and as dad opened the door, my nephew took his hand and led him.... to the house! He played with it all morning.

This is a very fun product my daughter loves it even the little toilet makes a flushing sound when you lift the lid it also has a little doorbell that really rings and a window that you can move back and forth to make night and day sounds and the dog and cat when you turn them around in circles the make sounds and play music you have to keep an eye on the little bitty pieces as they can get lost easily but overall this is a really fun and cute and very durable toy

4.0 out of 5 stars Well, they finally learned...dollhouses aren't JUST for girls., September 26, 2007

Years ago, there were quite a few dollhouses on the market that were neutral colors or more blue-based to suit a boy or a girl. Well, those days were gone until recently. We, mothers of boys and girls alike, were nauseated time and time again by the overly pink and purple McMansions that decorated our child's rooms.

But, good news everyone...just as I began to complain about the obvious message from toymakers that boys should not play with dollhouses...I stop by a Toys R Us and see a too-cute collection by Step 2. And guess what? They were ALL in neutral, classic colors.

Though I find the Step 2 collection slightly cuter and more creative, my son has so many Little People toys that it would be a shame to get rid of them and start over. Besides, he doesn't know the difference, right?

While this house doesn't have anything particularly special about it, he loves it and plays with it often. It doesn't have as many sounds as his old VERY pink and purple LP house, but it's good to leave something for their imagination. I like the new dog and cat feature. I'm a bit disappointed that they removed the laundry room and computer room, but that's less work for Mommy and less fun for Daddy (with that cell phone, he's having too much anyway, right), so it works out. And I do hope that eventually they take the baby out of the bassinet...

I appreciate the fact that I can have this in my son's room and not feel as if we should put it away should anyone come over.

I don't know why, but anything with Little People absolutely captivates my not-yet-2-year-old. She loves the toys and the books - and this toy is the latest addition to her collection. She will sit by herself for 30+ minutes just moving things around and talking to her Little friends. That's 30+ minutes for me to get a few things done around the house! For some reason, she always puts the dad (who's holding a cell phone) in the bathroom... Maybe she's trying to tell me something? ;^)

My nephew opened this toy on christmas eve as he was falling asleep, after opening all his other gifts. He couldn't stop playing with it, and they had to put in in bed with it, or else he wouldn't go to bed. I get you could say he liked it.

We bought this for my daughter for her second birthday as a first dollhouse. It's perfect. And I love that it's not pink. My son is 15 months older than my daughter and he loves this toy too. Everything is big and chunky and a lot of the furniture is build right into the house (fridge, couch, toilet, crib). So if any pieces get lost, you're not just looking at a bunch of empty rooms.

I bought this toy for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and wish I would have gotten it for her sooner. She absolutely loves it, and has played with it every day for 2 months!! It is sturdy and made well. There are some furniture pieces that are removable, and some that are built in. Her favorite sounds are the doorbell, telephone and potty. The potty flushes when the lid is lifted...a bit strange, but o.k. for a child. We are potty training now, and she is able to pretend play with her doll house. This is very much worth the money!! I have highly recommended it to my friends and family.

My 18-month-old really enjoys this dollhouse. I wasn't sure if she was ready for a dollhouse, but she's starting to get interested in it. She doesn't play too long with it yet, but I'm sure she will as she gets older. This is her first experience with the "Little People", too, and they're great. She likes to take the "mom" and "dad" out of the house, and tuck them in bed with her blankie. It's a great introductory dollhouse, without all the small parts you usually have to worry about with big kid dollhouses. And it's gender neutral, too, which is pleasant to see.

Our daughter received this on her first birthday. She has been enjoying it for almost a year. She wants it out all the time, to keep track of. It provides great learning opportunities, as she helps the mommy, daddy, and baby do different tasks. The house is very cute, and has a lot of the essentials of a real house. I do wish, however, it had a few more fun options. My daughter loves to take baths, and pretend to bathe her animals - but this house has no shower or tub, only a toilet. It does have several cute sounds it makes, which reinforce the learning and experimenting. Overall, we have been very pleased and gotten a lot of use out of this toy.
