This is the best Little People Toy yet. My 3 year old son just loves it and you get more for your money buying the one big set as opposed to several smaller sets. The video that comes with it is great as well because it shows the same city that your child is playing with so they can imitate the little people characters actions. This makes a great gift as well.

This is a newer version of the one my son got for Xmas 3 years ago when he was 3, but it is very similar (the new version is chunkier). My son, who was never much for playing by himself for very long, played with this for a long time, every time. We ended up leaving it in the living room for maybe a year because it was his #1 toy. We had a play group over of several kids, and one girl loved it so much her mother went out and bought it for her that week.

I love this toy but felt that the music volume was too loud. I covered the speaker with a strip of clear mailing tape. Now the volume is lower, making it easier on the ears and on the nerves!!!

My three-year-old and my eight-month-old both love this toy. My baby loves putting things on the road and watching them/trying to get them back off as it spins. My older son loves role-playing, especially with the school portion. It is a very big set. I underestimated how much room it would take up. The volume is a little loud. I also wish they would have made more than one song for when the road is spinning. Gets a little grating after a while. Still well worth it.

We bought this toy for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it! We have most of the Fisher Price Little People collection and she really enjoys them. But I have to say that the Discovery Village keeps her attention the longest and seems to be her favorite. I think it may be the moving rotary the she really likes. She has even incorporated her beloved Jojo's Circus characters with this toy. She puts them on the rotary and watches them go around. Buy it, its lots of fun!

My son received this toy for his 2nd birthday, he loves it. It plays different music and the road spins around. The only thing I don't like about this toy is that it comes apart very easily. The market and schoolhouse snap on and off, so it is easy to fix, just not all that convienent. This is a great addition to our Little People collection.

We love, love, love this toy. My dughter can play with this for an hour-quite amazing with an on the go toddler. We've never put the batteries in this toy and our daughter is still entranched. The discovery village is really sturdy-it gets lots of use and abuse and it's still in great shape.

I really appreciate that the sides of the village can be tucked in when the toys not in use to minimize the space it takes up and prevent mommy the klutz from tripping over it.

If I had one compaint (an this is soooo minor) I wish it came with a couple more people. With this you get a little boy, a grocer, and a school teacher-I think a couple extra would add to the fun. All in all though this was a great, great, deal-I bought it on sale for $18 and it was money well spent.

My son got this toy for his first birthday. Even though he is a little young to pretned with it, he loves to press the button to make the road go around and to make music with the band and in the villages. He also likes putting the car (and other objects) on the road and watching them turn. I think he will loves this toy even more as he matures and learns to pretend with all the little accessories. The only negative about this toy is that it can be a bit dangerous if a child steps on the road as it turns, since it slips under the child's foot and could cause the child to fall. My son has slipped on it once in this manner, luckily though, he didnt get hurt.
