This is a VERY sturdy plastic toy. Typical of Fisher-Price products. Two year olds can destroy a toy in no time flat, but this should hold up nicely. Not sure how much "educational value" it provides, but it does allow for manual dexterity - putting the rocks in and out of the dump truck bed. You can pick this up at a famous toy store for $12.99 - half the price.

This was one of my 1 year old daughters Christmas gifts. She lost the "girl" that drives the truck AND the "boulders" within the first 30 minutes.. go figure. But she occasionally still plays with the truck!! It's a cute toy, was packages well and seems to very durable.. it just doesn't seem to be abel to hold her attention very long.

I wish I had done some shopping around before buying this for my daughter. It's a Christmas present so she hasn't played with it yet... but I think She'll love it. I am bummed, however, because I did some shopping for more presents at Toys R us and found this toy for $15.99. Over $10 cheaper then I had paid here on amazon. I've definitely learned my lesson. :(
