My daughter received this for her first birthday and wasn't really interested in it until she was 18 months. Now she loves it and plays with it all the time. I love the sweet sounds that it makes and is helping with potty training with the flushing of the potty. I would definitely recommend it for a toddler.

I bought this for my daughter (2 1/2) for her birthday because she was very entertained by one of these little houses for a long while at a discount store and also with the same house which a friend of mine bought for her daughter(same age). The problem?? This isn't the same model!

The only one that is available for purchase now has been stripped of about HALF THE FEATURES of the earlier model. The toilet no longer makes flushing sounds, the computer no longer makes noise, the washing machine no longer makes noise. This model kept my daughter happy for about 5 minutes before she got bored and played with the bus instead. Little People products have been pretty good so far but they've made a huge error with this one. I am appauled that they've re-released this toy as a stripped down version of the original!

If you want a really good one buy a used older model one on an auction site (without the kittens in the kitchen). Don't waste your money on this "new improved" one.

Great item, my son loves it. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because some of the rooms, and items in them do not have sounds, and this is a little disappointing, but not unexpected. I think this could really improve the home! Also, why is it you cannot buy many add-ons for any of the little people sets. For example, extra fence pieces would be nice, and other things for around the home, like a daddy, or other household items such as more furniture?

My little girl really enjoys the Sweet Sounds Home. She also has the farm so now she is all set. Good value for the price.

This toy was the most adorable house to give our newest family member ( age 1 year). She will grow and use it for a while. The most time consuming part was putting all the stickers on!

I got this set for my daughter's second birthday. It quickly became her favorite present. It is very similar to another Little People house that makes more sounds, but I prefer it having just a few (I believe kids are quite capable of using their imagination), and she rarely ever uses its three sounds anyway. This one is much less expensive, too, and you could buy extra Little People with the extra money!

She loves the figures that come with the house, and though she also has the Little People farm, she gravitates toward the house, putting the farm animals in it. At first, she liked putting everyone on the potty or in the bath, and now she likes to position the figures so they are each looking out of a window. So there's always something new going on in the Sweet Sounds Home.

My one year old daughter just loves this! It is so cute with so many little details even older children like to play with it. I find that Little People products last and last.

The sounds are low and less annoying than some of the other Little People toys.

I bought an earlier version of this product for a friend's daughter a couple of years ago & it used to have more sounds/buttons to push. Now there is less of that & they've made the cat have fur. Well I got it for both my niece & daughter for their first birthdays and am disappointed in the change from the older version. I have a feeling the cat will soon be fur-less and simply hope they don't ingest the fur. I miss the other sounds it used to make and the new sounds are so quiet you can barely hear them. For a simple first doll house it's fine, but the included "bells & whistles" are lacking.

My daughter received this as a gift when she was one. At first she mostly liked to hear the phone ring. But as she grew, she used more and more aspects of the house and now, as a 2 year old does role playing as the mommy takes care of the baby (gets milk from refrigerator, puts baby to bed in crib, plays music on mobile...)

I just sent one as a gift to a friend whose daughter turned 1. They love it, too. I highly recommend it.

There seems to be a wide range of prices on this item in stores and on the internet. My local toy store was charging $50. Some vendors on Amazon also had high prices, while others had more reasonable prices, which is what I went with. The $30 version I got through amazon was identical to the $50 one in my local toy store.
