Inspires and Delights Babies Through Musical Discovery
The Little Superstar Jammin' Band Musical Microphone features a real working microphone that gently amplifies your baby's voice, lights up, and talks. The microphone plays six sing-along songs and four karaoke tunes -- it even has a build-a-song option. The musical activity center comes with a separate tambourine and maraca that hang from the sides and can be removed for playtime.

Two Modes of Interaction
Offering two modes of interaction, the Jammin' Band Musical Microphone lets you choose between sing-along fun and musical discovery. In sing-along mode, babies can press the song-select button to hear a song, or they can sing into the microphone to hear their voice. Your little one can also press the piano keys, tap the drum, or spin the roller on the guitar to hear the sound each instrument plays.

The musical discovery mode is nearly identical to the sing-along mode -- in fact, our reviewers had difficulty telling the two modes apart. However, your baby should enjoy the musical discovery mode just as much. Children can activate the instruments to play a little ditty, press the song-select button to hear musical phrases, or choose an instrument to build their own song. Also, children can sing into the microphone to hear their voice and a fun response.

Designed to Grow with Your Baby
While entertaining for babies, this toy will grow right along with your child. Little ones can sit and enjoy the busy activities and sounds, and as they get bigger, they can stand and sing with music, sounds, and phrases playing from the interactive microphone. An easy height adjustment lets you switch the toy from sitting to standing position as your child grows -- the microphone angle also adjusts for your child's height.

Loved by Babies and Parents Alike
With no small parts or sharp corners, the Jammin' Band Musical Microphone is a safe durable toy parents can give their child. A sturdy footed base steadies the activity center, and a handle on the front supports any child pulling him- or herself up to stand and play.

And, because this unit is self-contained, you won't have to worry about lots of stray pieces cluttering up your home. For further convenience, this toy is incredibly easy to assemble and maintain -- just wipe with a clean cloth that's been dampened with a mild soap and water solution.

But the best feature parents and adults will appreciate is the volume switch that lets them choose between low and high volume. There's also a power switch to completely turn off the activity center as a battery-saving option.

Encourages Developing Skills
The Jammin' Band Musical Microphone encourages your baby's developing skills through interactive play. The activity center enhances fine motor skills with hands-on activities, and it fosters coordination and gross motor skills as your baby learns to stand and balance. Additionally, this toy inspires the senses with flashing lights and bright colors that offer visual stimulation, as well as lively music, songs, sounds, and speech that help enhance your baby's auditory and language skills.

From the Manufacturer

The Sit-to-Stand Musical Microphone helps baby get rocking with a real working microphone and two modes of play. The stand is a perfect sitting height for baby in its lowest position. When baby is ready mom can extend the height of the stand making it just the right size for the standing baby. There is a large sturdy handle that will help steady baby as they play. Two modes of play include Sing-Along Fun and Performance. 10 songs (6 sung), musical riffs, fun phrases, scats and sound effects add to the fun. The microphone will reward baby when they make noises by amplifying their voice and singing and talking back to baby. Baby can press the light up piano keys for one of 6 sung songs and fun sound effects. There is also a guitar and drum on the mic stand that baby can press to get fun musical riffs, songs and phrases. Two detachable instruments, a maracca and tamborine, add to the fun as baby plays along.

My kids have really enjoyed this toy!!

The music isn't even annoying, unlike a lot of baby toys, and the volume is reasonable enough that we can keep it in the TV room and still hear what we're watching.

It is now almost 2 months later and she still plays with it everyday!

First of all let me say Fisher Price did a good job on the commercial for this toy alone because my nine month old son stopped playing with his blocks on the floor to clap his hands and "talk" to the T.V when the commercial came on. It was hilarious. When we saw it in the store a few weeks later we let him play around with it a little bit and he was so enthusiastic that we broke down and bought it. I do think it was on the pricy side but he seems to really love it. He interacts with it all on his own. He likes the ball on the guitar the best. He kind of spins it and it plays a guitar "solo". The music is pleasant and not annoying like some baby toys, which seems to me to be standard with Fisher Price baby toys. He hasn't figured out how to use the microphone yet but I'm sure he will as he grows older. He can pull up on it; however I do wish the base were a tad bit studier. Overall, a pretty nice toy for an active baby and I'm pleased with it.

I was about to throw this toy out until I read a review that shared how to get it out of Demo mode. Now the songs play all the way through and my 18 mo old has much more interest in it. Under the front left leg, there is a button. Make sure the leg is pushed in as far as it will go flush and the songs should play in their entirty!

My daughter received this toy for her first birthday about 3 weeks ago and it really has been the favorite. The toys that hang around the edges of it seem pretty useless but the toy over all is a blast. It's so funny to hear her talk in to the microphone, every time she's surprised by how noisy she sounds. She'll stand in front of this toy for minutes at a time hitting all the buttons and messing around. The music isn't even annoying, unlike a lot of baby toys, and the volume is reasonable enough that we can keep it in the TV room and still hear what we're watching. I'll be giving this toy as a gift to many babies in the future.

We bought this item for our daughter's first Christmas. She turned one two days later. I chose it because she loves anything musical. She is now 14 months and this continues to be a toy that she'll play with anytime I put her in front of it. It's definitely a favorite.

Some people have complained about the low volume. If you are sitting on the floor right next to it, as a child would be, it is loud enough. I do have it set for the louder of the two settings. I appreciate that it's not blasting my daughter's ears. I also like that it has a selection of music, not just one that is played over and over again. Of course, by now I'm very familiar with all the songs but I don't find them annoying at all. I'm glad I came back to review this item because my one complaint was that it was too low now that our daughter is walking. Somehow I had missed that it was adjustable. It is now at the taller height and she is delighted.

One warning: do not buy it for the "microphone". It's really just a simple sound amplifier and you have to be really close for it to pick up. She just puts her mouth on it and makes one long noise and it can pick that up and amplify it. Don't expect it to pick up singing.

Finally, the frustration free packaging is terrific. I highly recommend it.

I HAD PURCHASED THIS ORIGINALLY FROM WALMART, THE ONE AT WALMART WAS MORE MONEY BUT HAS VOICE RECOGNITION. ACTIVATES SONGS, MICROPHONE ETC. BY THIS FEATURE. MY DAUGHTER SAID SHE HAD DUPLICATE XMAS GIFT FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER, THE REASON FOR ORIGINAL RETURN. I FOUND OUT LATER NOT THE SAME, AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE.
I BOUGHT THIS ONE FROM AMAZON. THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS THE VOICE ACTIVATED, MUST PUSH, AND DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME ATTRIBUTES AS THE OTHER.
I CANNOT FIGURE WHY THERE WOULD BE SUCH A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORKINGS OF SAME NAME PRODUCT, BUT BIG DIFFERENCE IN PRICE. WOULD RECOMMEND THE WALMART FP VOICE ACTIVATED JAMMIN BAND OVER THIS ONE AND PAY THE EXTRA, JUST A BETTER QUALITY AND ATTRIBUTES REGARDING VOICE ACTIVATION, IS MUCH BETTER AND REALLY A KICK, FOR SMALLER BABIES.

I thought this would be a great Christmas present for our 7 month old baby - she loves music, however, this hasn't yet kept her attention for more than 1 minute and she's 9 months now. I think the overall problem that I face with this product is that the music that plays when a button is pressed starts to fade out within seconds if another button is not pushed again. I think it's for the sake of saving batteries and encouraging the child to make more music to keep the music going but it doesn't last long and my child likes to clap to the music but then it shuts off for her and she moves on to another toy. I'm keep an average rating on this because it does entertain her for a bit and I am hoping that in the future it will keep her attention longer.

My 22 month old daughter received this toy as a Christmas present, and likes it but it doesn't hold her attention for long. So far, we haven't been able to get it out of demo mode and it only plays 1/2 of each song before fading out. The reviewers at the Fisher Price website mentioned that tightening the screws that hold the legs on fixes this but we haven't had a chance to try that yet. It seems sturdy enough and the sound is good with decent volume. Like the other reviewers, I find the microphone dissappointing. My daughter likes it well enough, but I can see several areas for improvement.
