This train was great fun for my nephews. I bought it as a birthday present for my nephew that was turning 5 years old. At first I was a little worried that it might be too young for him...maybe this toy was better for his 3 year old brother? No! He loved it! So did his older brother! I think boys love trains no matter how old they are. They really had fun changing the tracks a round,and loved watching it lay the two tracks down and keep going. It was great watching them enjoy it so much! Especially since this toy cost a bit more than I actually wanted to pay for a plastic train. ;D

I really like this toy, but what's more important, my grandson loves this toy. He is only 22 months old but, he likes choo-choo trains and after his first visit to Disney World recently, he also likes Mickey Mouse. He played with this toy every day while he was here visiting and that is the best review a toy can receive. We purchased our son this train set to replace the fold and go train that broke recently. Our son is autistic and he was heartbroken when his old train broke. When I couldn't find his old one in stock anywhere near our home, I decided to splurge a little on this set since he started showing an interest in Mickey Mouse.

I brought it home and was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was no assembly required. I just needed to install 4 AA batteries (which are not included) with a phillips head screw driver. I took the train and tracks right out of the box and it was ready to go!

I like that the tracks are easy to snap together but not so easy that they fall apart as soon as the train goes over them.

The train itself is the perfect size for my son's hands. I like that it is a little big. It is so darn cute!! It plays music and Mickey talks and sings which encourages my autistic son to mimic him (which is a plus!).

The train does come off the track sometimes but my son can easily put it back on himself.

The train will run on the floor without the track but can run straight into a wall and will not turn around.

The little green cart is a nuisance and will not stay attached to the train.

All in all, this train works wonderfully and is too cute to pass up!

We got this for our 2 year old son since he loves trains & Mickey Mouse. I was surprised how fast the train moved. It does well on the round track, but in magic mode where it lays the track, we cannot seem to get it to keep the track laying & picking up after it only does it twice. Not a big deal to us. The train can still roll around the house with ease. It is a little annoying how loud it is though. However, our son LOVES it!!!

We bought the Mickey's Magic Choo Choo for our 2 year old son for Christmas. He loved the Mickey Mouse Choo Choo Express DVD, so we thought he would enjoy having his own Choo Choo to play with. Of all the toys he received at Christmas, he has played with this toy the most. The Mickey's Magic Choo Choo comes with enough tracks to make a small circle track. It also comes with the "magic pieces" which allow it to lay its own track as featured in the DVD. One thing I love most about this toy is that it works on or off the track. It's not unusual for me to see the train as it goes scooting through the room on a course of its own. It also seems to be extremely durable. It's taken several adventures off of our stairs and still continues to chug right along! If you want a great beginner train, this toy is extremely user friendly. All your child has to do to turn it on is press down on the yellow Mickey Mouse head on the front of the locomotive. Off it goes! Some of the reviews suggest it doesn't work well on carpet. We have wood floors, but the train works great going from wood floor to area rug. It's a great buy, and because my son plays with it so often, it deserves a five star rating for being money well spent!

My mom bought this toy for my son and he absolutely LOVES it! He likes taking the train tracks apart and putting them back together, singing along with the songs and watching the train go all by itself. I like it because it will ride even off the tracks so he can play with it anywhere, it is durable and it isn't obnoxiously loud. Don't get me wrong-you CAN hear it in the next room but he has other toys (lawnmower, another train and cars) that are ridiculously loud. I believe this toy is more fun than educational for my 3 year old...overall it is a great toy that will last!

I was pleased that this order shipped promptly, complete and in excellent condition. I ordered it for my grandson's 2nd birthday and he enjoys it, but at this age, he needs an older person to help him use it. He is a bit too young to do it by himself, so I decided the housework can wait; I will sit and play with him until he can do it by himself!

We originally purchased this for our then 3 year old son who loves Mickey. He's now five and doesn't find it as amusing; however, his 20 month old brother is crazy about it. Very fun toy and feel it was worth the price.

Mickey's Magic Choo Choo was hands-down our 18-month-old's favorite Christmas present. Not only that was he singing and even dancing to it, but our 5-year-old also was amazed with it and since then has wanted her own MM Magic Choo Choo! Months later, "Choo Choo" is still an adored toy that entertains them. Our toddler easily learned to assemble the tracks himself and even adds other trains and cars to the tracks sometimes when he's playing. Note: The MM Clubhouse DVD "Choo-Choo Express" also goes nicely with this toy.

i have not given my grandson his choo choo yet but it will be running around the track around his birthday cake on Sunday. i took it out of the box immediately to try it out since i saw some negative reviews. i had no trouble at all and it is going to be adorable around the cake. he is really into trains at 2 years old so i am expecting him to love it and i don't think he can break it easily.
