My son had been wanting some "inline" skates for ages - he's only 4 years old. These really did the job. He shuffles about on them and is so happy to be skating. I sincerely recommend these as first-time skates. My only criticism is that there seems to only be a stage 1 and stage 3 setting. The stage 2 setting didn't seem to work but that was fine. he quickly gained the confidence to use the stage 3 setting where all the wheels move freely.

I bought these for my 2 1/2 year old son. They work well for him. I had previously purchased a pair for my daughter, so I knew what I was buying. I really like the option to lock the wheels. He wasn't skating his first time out, but he was walking which was good enough for me.

Purchased FP My First Skates for our grandson who is 5 and has only skated once before. Thought they might be too small, but fit with room to grow. He was able to put them on and take them off by himself with no problem. Once he got them on he didn't want to take them off. We started in the house-with no falls and he skated the whole neighborhood-with no falls. Great for learning balance and great exercise. Most important, he loves using them! Well worth the price.
