Overall, these headphones look pretty good and are durable. The issue is that #1 the cord is WAY too short if you are planning to use these in the car, #2 the noise adjuster box is too close to the child's face which causes an issue to me because it makes the cord heavy and pulls them off the child's face...impossible to see this from the pictures... #3 the ear phone part is too flat, from the picture I thought they would actually cup around the ears to help them stay in place but they don't provide any support at all and just slip right off.

I bought this for my daughter (3 yr old) during our 12 hour road trip. They fit her head perfectly!
The only thing I wish I could change is the volume minimizer. I want to determine what is considered too loud. The headphones automatically cut the sound in half which would be great if my daughter didnt have a hearing problem. It had to be completely silent in the car for her to hear the music through the headphones. I would recommend this to my friends and family. It's been dropped and stepped on and still works.

I bought these because they looked durable. At the loudest setting my 4 yo still can't hear very well out of them. Also, they do not stay on her head. They just keep sliding off.

I agree with the other reviewers. These are extremely durable, but next to impossible to hear anything. They work just fine if my daughter is sitting in her room listening to her iPod, but forget being able to use them in a vehicle with any background noise.

Purchased two of these for my grandchildren for there trip across the country, and a visit with me. They were useless. The children had to stay very still with no outside noise to hear there music. I called the company and there is NO way to make the volume higher.

We bought these to use with my ipod on an airplane trip so my daughter could watch some shows. They are so quiet that she could not even hear them on the plane so we ended up not using them, they have been stored since and she just asked if she could listen to some music. Took them out and the left ear is already not working. These were a total waste of money and I have gotten ZERO use out of them. They got one star because they are cute and fit her well but what good is that when she can't hear the darn music?

These headphones are poorly designed. The large blocky volume regulator is heavy and pulls/tugs at the headphones causing them to slip off when the kids move around. I know that some "testing lab" has determined what is a "safe/unsafe" volume level for children but come on! These headphones simply cannot be heard even in a quiet room with two adults having a normal conversation! Much less with a TV going or heaven forbid in a CAR! Back to Amazon go these. Anyone have another suggestion for a better pair for a 5 yr old?

We got this for my daughter for a portable dvd player. She kept saying that she couldn't hear anything. We had the dvd player turned all the way up. We tried regular headphones and they worked fine.

After searching everywhere, we finally found smaller sized headphones for our kids, age 3 and 2. The main reason for purchasing these were for airplane travel. We got them each a pair (one pink and one blue) and they fit both heads no problems at all. We plugged them into the laptop and the kids sat quietly and still the whole flight. The volume limiter is awesome too because I don't have to worry too much about the volume being too high and hurting their ears.
