Assembly was easy, and the material washes nicely. Personally, I was worried about all of the reports of flat spots I had seen in other reviews, but when I felt the area where a baby's head would lay when I purchased this in a store, I didn't see how it could make a baby's head flat. Maybe they have changed something, but on the one we have, the baby's head doesn't even touch a hard surface but rather is cradled in the material.
The sleeper folds up easily and can be transported from room to room. It also has a slight rocking motion, which was nice for nighttime wake-ups that didn't require a feeding - I could just reach over and rock her a little. There is also a belt to strap in the baby, which we didn't always use because it didn't work with sleep sacks. I always felt secure putting our newborn to sleep in this rocker, and it seems like she spit up less than our first, I'm guessing because she was up at an angle after feedings instead of being flat on her back. There is also a nice amount of padding - not so much that I worried about her face getting covered, but enough that it didn't feel like she was lying on a hard surface.
We only used this from birth to about 11 or 12 weeks, so I can't speak to how it works for a child older than that. But, in nearly three months of nightly use, we never noticed any flat spots on our child's head as a result of sleeping in this.
The only thing I don't like about this rocker is that it is a pain to get the padding off the frame to wash it. Other than that, I'm so glad we purchased this, and we will be putting it to good use again with our next baby.
So, we threw out the moldy one, and bought a replacement Fisher-Price sleeper (BBK18 model, not sold on Amazon). Guess what --- same problem! Except we caught it early, since we are much more vigilant now. Turns out that teaspoons of moisture may collect on the plastic shell during the course of a single night. So now every morning, we do the routine where we have to pull off the cover and wipe it down and air-dry the fabric. Not good!
Fisher-Price has really dropped the ball on this line of sleepers. Normally they have great products, but something about the design of this plastic shell and the enclosing fabric makes it trap moisture, and it can stay in there for days.
I really can't believe Amazon is still selling this. Search online for discussions (especially where I also posted), there is no shortage of parents who are clean people and were shocked to discover mold. This product is defective by design. I have been very vigilant against mold usually, and also very clean, so this has been really shocking for me. I will give the product two stars just because my son liked it so much, but the mold issue is really serious, which loses the rest of the stars.
Feel free to comment on my review, I'll be watching.
Now the downsides are that they sleep so well they aren't moving their heads as much as they would if they slept poorly. There is then a higher risk of flat head. Anyhow our daughter didn't have any flat head whatsoever and our son who slept flat in a crib had a little bit. The primary difference is that our daughter had one of these (Boppy Noggin Nest Head Support, Brown Wheels) her whole life whereas our son only started using this at 6 weeks.
Get the boppy noggin nest along with this awesome sleeper and you will be sleeping 3x longer each night!
In summary this product was wonderful for my child's reflux. It allowed all of is to sleep more soundly at night. In the future, Yes I would purchase this product again even if my child had tort and were prone to flat head syndrome...just limit the amount of time child spends in the chair to maybe only sleeping at night and rotate the head regularly.

Loved it and so did my twin boys. It put them right down but the area where the butt rests did start to pick up mold. You couldn't tell even when you washed the cover often. Read morePublished 5 months ago by AForTwins
