I purchased this rocker for my 7 month old baby. Previously, my baby would recline in a bouncer, which he loved. He would bounce like crazy but now he has gotten a little big for the bouncer so I thought he would enjoy the rocker but the rocker barely rocks at all and the rocking motion is jerky because of the built in stops on the bottom of the rocker. We use it only as a chair not a rocker. I wouldn't buy this again.

I read the great reviews on this product and having a bigger baby decided to give it a try. It is made very well and my daughter took right to it! When I received it I thought it might be hard to assemble. You will need a Phillips screw driver, they include six screws inside. It was easy to assemble, still healing from a c section, there was not much bending involved. My daughter does not like being strapped down in her swing but for some reason she does not mind being strapped in this rocker. Perhaps she cannot see the straps or they are not as restricting. She is safely placed in it though so don't fear if it is safe or not. My only complaint would be the place where her head lies is a bit hard. I will add some padding, a snuggle head support. Also, no complaint, but the color green is a lot brighter in person than on the page. Other than that this is another Fischer Price product my daughter loves and I see us getting a lot of use out of it. Very happy!

Great product! Easy to assemble! My son is using it since he is 1 month and he loves it! He likes the vibration and sleeps in the rocker most of the time!

We purchased this for my 9 month old son. He is a little large for his age, but this chair gives him great support, and he enjoys using it. The toys that come with it are not bad, but he likes to sit in it and play with his own toys. This is useful as it is sturdy for him, and he can not get out of it. He uses this while watching tv, or while my wife and I eat dinner, clean etc. Very easy and quick assembly and the product is sturdy.

I love this rocker. When we first brought our new baby home, I used it for her to sleep in right next to the bed, because I wasn't comfortable putting her across the room, yet. I feel like it was a great investment because it is going to be useful for so long - from the very moment I brought her home until she is ready to sit up and rock herself. I love that the toy bar is not only removable but also turns out of the way when you want to pick the baby up without removing it and without bumping her head. I also like the fact that it folds up, can be propped against the wall, and is light weight to carry. I plan to take it to my mom's house for baby to sleep in when I need her to babysit. It is great for sleep time and awake time. :)

We liked this rocker very much...my son started using this from his early months and now he is 18 months. He likes to sleep on this comfortably. Also he loves to sit on this to watch his favorite cartoons (:-))
A good buy...we recommend to all parents to start from first month itself...

I am a grandmother who has raised several children so I know babies. I have a 9 week old infant living with me and bought this chair for her. I wish I had bought something else. I find that when the rocker is in the infant position our baby slumps from side to side due to the width of the chair. Also in the infant position her feet are held much higher than her head. This occurs because of the incline of the seat when it is in the infant position. Therefore we can't use this seat after feeding her. Secondly, the padding under the head area has several hard lumps in the padding and it is not thick padding being very slight and skimpy. Last but not least, when we use the vibrate feature, the battery makes a horrible racket banging against the plastic battery holder and seat frame. It is so loud that we can't use it.

On the positive side, our baby is attracted to the bright toys and tries to reach them. I also like the way the toy bar moves out of the way. This purchase arrived much earlier than Amazon promised and we appreciated that. We decided to save the chair until she is older because it is too much trouble to return it and hope that when she is bigger it will be a better chair for our child.

This is the 2nd bouncy seat that I have purchased for my fussy little one- the 1st offered the vibration option and included the toy bar but failed to calm my fussy 8 week old son. After reading the reviews for this product, I took a chance and ordered it. WOW! What a difference the rocking option has made injunction with the vibration! Both mommy and baby are able to enjoy hours of quiet time with the help of the Fisher Price Newborn-To-Toddler Portable Rocker!!! Plus, my three year old really enjoys sitting & rocking in it while I am feeding his little brother! GREAT PRODUCT!!! *** I was a little hesitant about washing the pad (even though the product handbook indicates machine washable safe) as the head portion of the pad contains a particle-board-like piece to hold the upper construction of the pad. I was afraid that the water and washing cycle would destroy this piece. However, again, I took the chance and was not disappointed! It was easily to disassemble & washed easily without decaying the pad! AWESOME job, Fisher Price!!!!

It's been almost a week since our newborn is with us. We've been using this rocker since day 3 and our baby loves it. It's been very helpful in those hectic first nights at home... where, we (probably like almost every new parent) weren't sure about how to calm our baby.

Definitely recommended!

I was so excited to get this rocker as my daughter loves to be rocked. However this seat has several recline positions in addition to the kickstand options that make it stationary. As an infant the best position for my daughter is to be completely reclined. However in that position the balance of the seat is off center so it doesn't really rock without a lot of effort. I have to sit the back up slightly and support her head with a blanket which allows it to rock a bit more easily, but it's still not a smooth rocking motion. Fully upright it rocks fine. She still loves this seat though. The vibrations put her right to sleep and at 6 weeks she could stare at those toys all day. I love the look of it and the fact that the legs are plastic instead of metal. I also love that my 3yr old can sit in it as well.
