I am sad to see that my brother paid so much for a toy of poor quality.
Kimberly F. Sutter
This toy was very well designed - the buttons are easy for a young child to push, it is not too heavy, and it is very durable.

I love how this plays the whole song and not just part like so many other musical toys.

We bought this for our youngest daughter at Christmas when she was 6 months old. She is still playing with it at 16 months old. It can keep her occupied for long periods of time, especially if her older sister is sitting with her. It has cute sounds and the songs aren't too annoying. There is a volume control so that is always a plus. You have to watch it and make sure it doesn't stay on, otherwise the lights will keep flashing indefinately.

My son received this when he was two months old. He played with it and seemed to like it until he became mobile. The buttons are easy to press for a baby, which is nice. The spinning center and flashing lights caught his attention but that is just about all this toy does so he quickly lost interest once he began crawling and wanting more interaction from his toys.

Over the last year, we have kept it around and he doesn't go to it on his own anymore. If I show the toy to him, he'll push the buttons once or twice then toss it aside. My 3-year old will continually press the center button to see it spin around but he's not getting anything develomental out of it, he's just doing it to be annoying and wearing down the batteries!

I would say that this toy is good for maybe up to about 9 months but after that, my son has completely lost interest in the toy. I do not see how they have rated this as an "up to 36 months" toy because there really isn't much to the toy to keep an older baby's interest. It does show pictures of animals and has nursery rhymes but, to me, that is for young babies and older kids should be learning other, more complex things.

So, it was a neat toy for awhile but I wouldn't recommend it if your baby is over about 9 months old.

My daughter got this for Christmas when she was 6 months old. She has played with it ever since. Although this player DOES NOT play CDs, it does play different songs when the big button is pushed. My daughter can easily push the button, and enjoys the lights and sounds it makes. This is definitely a favorite!

My baby was scared of this the first time the CD spun around but once she figured out that music came after it, she loved it. She likes watching the blinking lights too. The songs aren't too annoying (although there's a weird version of Baa Baa Black Sheep that drives me crazy) and there is adjustable volume. I'd say it's worth the money.

My daughter received this as a birthday gift. She absolutely loved it, but within 3 months the push button in the middle stopped working, so you had to turn the CD by hand if you wanted to use it. We kept it around because she liked it, but just recently when we turned it on the sounds were all garbled, we changed the batteries to make sure that wasn't it and it was still garbled. My daughter has had this toy for about 8 months now and it is the worst I have seen. The quality is not worth the price. I am sad to see that my brother paid so much for a toy of poor quality. I would have to say buyer beware with this toy.

I bought this for my son's 1st birthday but ended up letting him have it when he was 11 months old because he really showed an interest in it when I showed it to him. It took him a few days to warm up to it because he wasn't sure what to think of the spinning of the "cd". Now he loves it!!! The songs are different versions from what you normally hear and they are actually really cute. He loves the lights and has no problems making it spin on his own. I feel that sometimes the buttons on baby toys are a little too hard to push but this one is a breeze. I recommend this to anyone whose child loves music, lights or just likes feeling a little independent knowing they can do it all by themselves without help of an adult.

The name sure is deceiving ... not a cd player ... but its a great toy that spins like a cd.

Our baby's favourite toy since she was three months old. Specially when she is in the car seat (which she hates to be in), this toy will keep her entertained and busy for a long while. She is 8 months now and still enjoys this toy as much.

Great for its value, and the music & lights are a plus.

We bought our youngest daughter this for Christmas, when she was 5 months old. She is now almost 1 and she LOVES this toy! It's very easy to operate; I think she figured it out at a very early age. My 4 year old daughter likes to play with it too. We also have a 15 month old nephew and this is one of his favorite toys when he comes to visit.
