I'm just going to get to the point with this one:

The bad
-The mobile is too low, you hit your babies head on it.
-Very easy to hit you babies head on the blue bar because you cant see hardly what your doing with the top of the swing in your way.
-The mobile grinds and squeaks and sounds horrible and loud so we cant ever use it.
-The legs come off the floor about a inch when it swings (my baby is only 6 weeks old!) and thats on the first speed setting.
-The music turns off after playing 4 songs or so and it wakes up the baby.
-If you turn it into a front facing swing instead of a side swinging one it hits and jerks the baby around and it throws them forward. Not a good design if you ask me.

The good
-Plugs in, no batteries :)
-Easy to use especially when its the middle of the night and your tired and baby is fussing.
-Good tunes my baby loves them.
-The light is awesome for calming them down too!

Improvements that need to be made
-More padding
-Better leg room, white thing should be covered too. Its cold on babies feet as infant.
-More quiet when swinging
-Come in more colors exp for girls

hope this helps someone at least. Its not worth the money in my opinion. But what is now adays anyways?

I'm a nanny and I have used this swing in a couple different homes.

I recommend this exact product to new parents because:
-A swing is a great tool for
* the "witching hour"
* any fussy baby-- at any time
* a colicky baby
* an overtired baby
* a baby fighting sleep
* when you're ready to teach your baby to nap on a schedule
-The seat has two adjustable settings. The upright setting is ideal for babies with gerd or colic
-The swing changes direction (front to back or left to right).
-The water globe lights up and soothes/grabs a fussy baby's attention, plus the mobile can rotate or stay still; the globe can light up or not.
-It can play music or ocean sounds (or neither). Again, this a great distraction when your baby is fussy, overtired or fighting sleep.
-You can select many different sound/light/rotating options, so you can offer a fussy baby a variety of distractions-- this allows for you to tweak the swing to do exactly what will soothe your baby each time you use it.

This product is very customizable so it can be passed down to siblings and to other families with new babies. In two of the homes I used it in, it had been given to the family by a relative.

Worried about knocking your baby's head on the globe like other reviewers have warned? The only thing I can say is, pay close attention not to, and you will do just fine. The space is a little tight, but if you're aware, it's easy to avoid-- and the globe, with all its customizable options, is worth having.

Can it be a squeaky? Sure. This product has a lot of moving parts. One of the swings had a click to it. Another had a noisy rotating mobile.

We were new parents living abroad, so we were far away from friends and family. The first few months after my son was born, we were absolutely run down. When he was fussy or unable to sleep it took a heavy toll on us both in terms of anxiety and fatigue.

Enter this magical swing. When we first set it up, I was pretty skeptical, and even after watching my son in it for a few minutes, I was worried it was too fast: it LOOKED too fast. But the effect on him was incontrovertable. Within a minute of going into the swing, he would start calming down. Within five minutes, if it was anywhere near time for him to sleep again, he SLEPT! If he didn't sleep, he would happily rest in the swing as long as it was moving, for 20+ minutes!

We used the swing on side-to-side mode, not front to back. It worked 100% of the time to calm him. If we were using it to put him to sleep, we'd wait until he was solidly asleep, then turn off the swing and move him to his cot. You have to time it right so the baby's in the deep part of their sleep cycle - usually 10 minutes after he nodded off for us was safe - but then we could move him without waking him.

Other reviewers have mentioned problems with the mobile hitting their baby. For the side to side mode for us, this wasn't a problem and we had a big kid - 8 pounds when he came out, and after the first few weeks he gained weight quickly.

Pro:
+ this swing is a MIRACLE WORKER, at least it was for us.

This swing has been an exceptional addition to the many baby accessories that keep us as parents sane. We like this swing in particular, due to the fact that it keeps our baby content, and the songs are easy on the ears. I would recommend the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders swing for any parents that are looking to keep their child asleep or entertained.
