4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of cute features for a baby
This toy has a lot going on. There are three pails and a ball that can be nested, stacked upside down or played with seperately. The largest pail (which is heavy and can hurt if thrown) is clear with water inside and sea creatures that move. An octopus is molded into the blue plastic underside. This pail also has a rubber handle that can be chewed on like a teether...

3.0 out of 5 stars Very durable
This is a nice, durable toy, but it is pretty heavy, so if you've got the type of kiddo who likes to fling things around, beware.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of cute features for a baby, February 20, 2005

This toy has a lot going on. There are three pails and a ball that can be nested, stacked upside down or played with seperately. The largest pail (which is heavy and can hurt if thrown) is clear with water inside and sea creatures that move. An octopus is molded into the blue plastic underside. This pail also has a rubber handle that can be chewed on like a teether. A blue pail has a sea star at the bottom and the pail rattles. It has two small holes in the bottom for water to stream out from. The smallest pail is yellow with a hermit crab attached to the bottom. The crab can be turned and makes a clicking sound. The red ball has a fish inside that will spin when the ball is moved.

Overall, this has been a fun toy for my son. I wish that the sea star and crab that are at the bottom of two pails were more accesible for him. He looks at the crab, but his pudgy hands can't get down there to turn it. He does like the colors and creatures and they keep him entertained for up to 30 minutes at a time.

I bought this for my son because he loved his little aquarium that was in his crib. However, he liked this toy for all of 5 minutes. After his first time playing with it, he never showed interest again. The pail was very heavy. The only thing he liked was the little ball HOWEVER he liked to throw it (bad news, since the ball was made out of hard, heavy plastic).

I thought it was really cute which is why I bought it but in the long run it was a waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my sons favorite toys...., August 18, 2003

I got this & the ocean wonders fishbowl for my son & he plays with them the longest out of any of his other toys. He loves to hear the buckets clank around when he fits them inside one another, and there is one with beads that he likes to shake and hear rattle. The flutter ball it comes with is cute, and if you buy the fishbowl too they go together nicely. They are both relatively inexpensive, and are both good at teaching eye hand coordination, particularly the pails. A great buy!!! I just wish that they weren't as heavy as they are so I could take them with us on outings.

3.0 out of 5 stars too heavy, May 18, 2003

I love the look of this toy, however the bucket portion is way too heavy for my 11 mo old girl. She has toppled it over onto her face more than once while laying down with this toy. If you want a bucket just get a [inexpensive], plastic, light weight one. If you want a stacking toy there are so many out there that are fun and not as heavy as this. The ball is cute, we have ours still but I"m sure it's eventually going to get lost. Just be warned that this is a heavy toy for young babies.

My daughter loved the fishbowl but was not interested in this toy at all. She got it as a gift and never really played with it. I think it is a little boring and there are other great stacking toys out there.

I bought this toy for my 15 month old daughter. She really likes it and plays with it every day. Other reviews have said that it is very heavy and indeed it is but we havent had a problem with that. She likes to put them inside of each other and stuff stuff into them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Buy!!!, July 3, 2004

Great toy, my 7mo. son loves to play with these pails. The one with the water is a bit heavy so I have to limit the play to the carpeted area in my house for fear that my son may throw it & chip our tile floor. The only complaint that I have is that on the babies r us site they are listed under bath toys, and this is definately not for use in water. For outside the tub its a blast!!!!!! (Look for the Ocean Wonders fishbowl also, its got great sounds, and more flutter balls & it does go great with the pails!!!)

I love the fisherprice fish bowl. I thought this would be as enjoyable. The buckets looks pretty, but are very heavy. A child could hurt themselves if they were to have it drop on their foot. I would not purchase this.
