This review is from: Fisher Price 5-in-1 Ocean Wonders DOLL Stroller (Toy)
We received this stroller today via UPS after it was Pre-ordered online two weeks ago. I knew it would take some assembly but really couldn't tell from the picture how much or how it functioned when assembled. Like strollers for real babies, this stroller must be assembled right down to the bottle tray on the handle to the wheels assemblies. For assembly, there are just two screws that need to be screwed in and they hold the handle pieces together. All the other parts either snap on or must be slid into place and then they are held into place with retractable buttons that pop out when correctly assembled. I am the assembler in our house.
During assembly, the only problem I encountered was forgetting to put the spacers in the wheel assemblies. My 2 year old daughter had them I realized after I'd already put together one front wheel set and since I had already popped on the hub caps, taking the assembly apart to put the spacers in was a real pain. This was my error though, not fault of the manufacturer. The wheels do have a locking system also when assembling and I am very confident my daughter won't break the wheels off. Also during assembly, I encountered some challenges. The canopy, "mommy tray" and "dolly tray" snap on to the frame and can do so only in certain areas. I had to use a fair amount of force to get them on and so far, none of them have popped off. Also for some reason, button holding the handle to the stroller base was set in crooked and I had to attempt to turn the end of the bar while putting this part in so it would lock correctly. The wheels are made of plastic and roll quietly on our concrete and tile floors. I love this particularly. The Doll "tray" is really a toy that sings. Like other Ocean Wonder items for real babies, it has a water filled clear chamber with fish in it and a button to push that plays soft music. The music is pleasant and there is an off switch also. The tray also has a big pink button to push that can make the fish "swim". My daughter has a hard time pushing it though to make the swim fish effectively. After all, she is just 2. I should note that the tray has come off twice. Both times from my daughter leaning on it to watch the fish while she pushes the button. The tray requires (2) AAA batteries to function. This stroller does not fold!! The base pieces and handle section can be removed but if you are planning on getting this to cart around for your child on shopping trips, I'd recommend looking for a more transportable stroller. We have several sized baby dolls here. The one's that fit best in the stroller are 14" and 16" long. The 18" doll fits but with the way the dolls legs are formed and with the tray on it, it is challenging for my daughter to put her in and out. I also tried a 20 inch doll in the stroller just to see what it looked like. The box says dolls 12"-18" for this stroller. The seat can be adjusted for dolly to sit or lay down and any position in between. The rear seat would fit a smaller doll (this is where the 14" doll sits). The rear seat is also used for the Shopping Cart option. The frame of the rear seat if plastic. There is also a "basket" under the seat (more like a fabric pouch). It isn't very accessible and I may just remove it. My daughter has already used the rear basket seat as the main basket, she hasn't paid any attention to the "basket" under the seat. On the seat also is a dolly seat belt. Like real baby strollers, it is a 3 point system. The crotch strap has a pass-through where the waist straps are supposed to feed through. The waist straps have velcro for securing dolly in. However, even at my adult age, I don't see why they didn't make the dolly restraint more child friendly. I personally would have sewn the other half of the velcro to the crotch strap instead of having the child pass the waist straps through it to secure. My daughter can't do it and it's challenging for me. When properly secured, the velcro for the straps are inside the pass-through, making my daughter upset when she wants to get the dolly out. As a whole I do like this stroller and am glad we bought it. My daughter definitely loves it!! She plays with the stroller as a whole and with the toy tray by itself. I can see this stroller being in our family for a long time.

It looked so cute and like so much fun I had to get it for my daughter's birthday. Her last stroller is falling apart from all the miles she has put on it in the last year.
This is a true piece of junk. Most all the parts "snap" together. That would be nice if they stayed together. The front baby seat has 4 plastic "snap" clips that should snap into the frame. The frame wasn't exactly square therefore once you got the fourth one in another one would pop back out. I messed with it for over an hour before I gave up. I never did get the ocean tray to snap in. The snaps are made too small for the frame no matter where I tried to put it, and yes I did read the instruction a hundred times, it's just a piece of junk and doesn't snap like it should. I also noticed that some of the plastic snap pieces were showing signs of breaking, they are blue and the center turned white from being stretched too much because they don't snap in like they should. I can guarantee after a child removes these pieces a few times they will break. I let me daughter try it for a few minutes while I decided whether to return it and try another one or to start my stroller search over. In the ten minutes she played it the entire stroller was disassembled. She would try to move the sun canopy and it would come off. She tried to recline the seat and it came off. No matter what she touched it feel off. Very frustrating for a 2 year old. Don't waste an hour assembling this just to realize like I did that it's junk. I am not an idiot either, I am an engineering major so this should be very elementry. They had a great idea here, but it was poorly engineered.

This review is from: Fisher Price 5-in-1 Ocean Wonders DOLL Stroller (Toy)
I recently purchased both the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Stroller and the Ocean Wonders High Chair to have at my house for when my almost two year-old granddaughter comes to visit. I had searched the internet and viewed several similar items. I
decided on these because of their attractive/realistic appearance. They arrived yesterday evening (a Friday), and I decided to put them together this morning after my husband left for work. I had assumed that it would be a simple job. Wrong!!!! I first opened the box containing the stroller and removed all of the pieces (There were quite a few of them!). I then discovered that there were no directions. I put all of the pieces back in the box with the hope that my husband will be able to look at the picture and figure it out when he gets home. Because it is Saturday, I am not able to contact Fisher-Price for assistance, and there were SO MANY pieces that I just didn't want to deal with them. I then took the high chair out of the box, and was happy to dicover that it DID contain directions. Assembling it went really well until I got to the removable tray. After MUCH effort, I was finally able to get it snaped in place. Since it is supposedly able to be removed in order to convert the high chair into a rocking bassinet or a rocker, I couldn't help wondering WHO was supposed to be able to remove it and then put it back on. Certainly not my little granddaughter! I picked the high chair up to take it to the bedroom, and one of the main hinges disconnected. I snapped it back on, but now the high chair is twisted and I can't get the hinge back off in order to straighten it. It was at that point that I decided that I had had enough of Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders for one morning, and decided to write this review. Another negative feature of these items is that they don't fold for storage, which is an inconvenience for grandparents who don't have the child in their home every day! I don't expect to be able to return these items, since they are no longer in the "unopened or original condition," and because it is Saturday, I can't contact Fisher-Price to request instructions for the stroller. My granddaughter will be here Wednesday, and I was hoping to be able to have these things for her to play with! I DEEPLY REGRET not reading other customers reviews before purchasing these items! I expected better quality from Fisher-Price!
