![]() These soft, furry mittens are ideal for tickling. View larger. |
When touched to a surface, the right glove gently vibrates. It also plays back a variety of phrases from Elmo, including his signature laugh. Buyers should be aware that only the right glove has these special electronic features; the left hand is simply a mitten. Still, the toy should succeed in providing hours of ticklish fun.
Tickling with a Groovy Twist
Elmo's Tickle Hands also come with an exclusive DVD that features a dance lesson on how to perform Elmo's brand new dance -- the "Tickle Hand Groove." This is a simple dance that children will be able to learn with ease.
The DVD is hosted by Elmo, himself, and has all the charm of any Sesame Street feature. Kids will find the accompanying song upbeat and danceable. The song can be played at any time by pressing the image of Elmo's face on the right glove.
What's in the Box
Two tickle hands and instructional dance DVD.

My little one HAD to have tickle hands for her 3rd birthday. She seems to like them well enough but as with many toys I don't see this one having much staying power. It comes with a dvd that has Elmo singing his little song and a dance to go with the tickle hands but she loves going tickle everyone in the room with them. One hand is just cloth while the other has the box in it where the music comes from. Don't get accidently hit with the one with the music box in it...it'll hurt. Also the dog might not be so happy with the tickle hands (same goes for the cat). So if your child has heavy hands...I'd look for a different toy.

This is a cute musical toy, but would be nicer if BOTH hands (gloves) "tickeled". The description does tell you that only one hand sings and tickles, but it is still kind of strange to have one that does nothing at all. My 19 month old will probably ignore the non-active hand, unless one of us uses it with him while he is playing with the active one. Maybe older tots, who watch Elmo, will put on both gloves and dance with the musical DVD included.

I know this looks cute, but it's worth at most 15 minutes of fun. Definitely not worth the money.
