This bath survived the hardest season of our lives...
on August 15, 2014
At 3 months old, our son developed Red Skin Syndrome due to a handful of uses of over the counter topical steroids. His life spiraled and he was soaking for 45 minutes 12 times a day/night wrapped in cloths for 4 to 5 months as his skin was burning hot and this tub was his only comfort. As he began to heal, he then was taking 3-4 baths/soaks per day for at least 6 months after that. Because he has still been in the steroid withdrawal, I am still using this tub and sling and not a stitch is missing or has come undone - even though he is now almost 25 lbs at 18 months old. The sling has survived countless super hot washes in the sanitary cycle of our front load washer and bath soaks when our son has been covered in thick balms to help comfort him though the year+ long withdrawal. To see photos and read about our journey through Topical Steroid Withdrawal, please google "Isaiah Quinn Steroids" as Amazon wont allow external links in their reviews. I have pics of this bath on our blog. This baby tub has been beyond superior in it's quality and will always be close to my heart, just because it is the only thing that gave our sweet baby comfort as he suffered beyond our wildest imagination during the hardest season of our lives. I plan on purchasing more of them to give as gifts when any loved one is expecting a little one because of the outstanding durability and quality.
