My 10 week old son loves this swing! We have another "front to back" motion swing that he refuses to sit in, but he loves the motion of this one and will site quietly in it for long periods and sleeps very well in it. He also likes to stare at the mirrored ball, but he's not too interested in the mobile yet, maybe because the animals don't have much color contrast? It was super easy to put together, and I love that it can fold up to put out of the way - it's not exactly small folded, but my other swing doesn't fold at all. The sounds are kind of nice, I don't really like the music so we pretty much just use the nature sounds or none at all, which is fine. I only wish that it could plug in instead of just using batteries, like the rainforest swing does - but the seat on this one is bigger and softer than the rainforest, and my son likes the papsan better (our neighbors have the rainforest swing so we've tried them both). Overall I completely reccomend this swing, but giving 4 stars b/c of the mobile and the power situation.

We received this swing secondhand. Our son, now 6 months, spent the majority of his naps in it and even sometimes overnight. About a month or so ago, he became bored (uncomfortable in?)with it so we put it away, but brought it back out again last week. He seems to still enjoy it and will nap occasionally there.

The pros:
*battery life- in 6 months we've changed the batteries 3 times. We didn't use the mobile a whole lot in the beginning because it scared him, so I'm not sure if that prolonged the life of the batteries.
*two seating positions
*the music/sounds are pretty good
*the lap bar is removable
*it's fairly easy to remove and clean the cover
*he loves the mirror

The cons:
*you only get 7 minutes of sounds or mobile movement at a time
*this thing has a huge footprint.. it barely fit in our bedroom
*even on the slowest speed, it swings fast.. we always use a light blanket dragging off it to slow it down, even now (he's average weight for his age)
*the toy bar is somewhat boring to my kiddo.. but I use the ring parts to hook toys on so it's not a huge deal
*the pillow part around the head is too small and should be removable

The other thing that brought me here to check on was the weight limit. My son is about 16 pounds or so and today started bouncing in the swing, up and down. He got it moving quite a bit so I thought I'd double-check to be sure he wasn't too heavy for it (apparently 25 pounds is the limit). He doesn't like how far back the swing is even in the upright position, so he sits straight up. I'm doubtful that bouncing is good for it, so it might be time to retire the swing (considering it's a loaner).

Overall, I would say this is definitely a good buy. The cons are just things some people would find irritating, so it depends on what you can deal with.

Note that all the reviews for the various types (nature's touch, new nature's touch, starlight, etc.,) are all grouped together. We got the New Nature's Touch, thinking all the models use AC Power, (b/c the reviews say so) but they do not! The New Nature's Touch is definitely batteries only. I'm giving it 5 stars b/c for what it is, it is great. But I give Amazon 0 stars for misleading its customers this way.

This swing has so many reviews, I feel like I shouldn't even review it anymore, but it's so unbelievable I just have to do it...My baby is now 9 weeks old and has been using this swing every day and several times a day since we brought him back from the hospital. He loves to be held and this swing saves me from going completely insane. There are several speeds and melodies you can choose from, but he loves the very first speed (lowest) and he likes to listen to the crickets. Now that he can interact more with us, he can also look in the mirror above and loves it when it rotates...He can follow it for at least 15 minutes and most of the time that is all he needs to fall asleep as well. This is truly a God sent gift to new parents. You cannot live without this if you have no help with your newborn. I want to keep it for my second one, too...I am so happy w/ the purchase!

I bought this swing in June for my granddaughter. She's 5 months old and was teething. My daughter wasn't able to put her down for more than a minute. We put this together (it was very easy assembly) and put Lucy in it. She began to grin from the moment we put her in. It has given my daughter and son-in-law a much needed break! She will lay in it and swing for up to 30 minutes with no fussing. She even took a nap in it for over two hours. It's a great, great product for new moms and dads.

I bought this for our grandson, who is 10 weeks old. I am able to put him in the swing still awake, sometimes a little fussy, and he will go to sleep every time. This is a good buy for a Grandma who prefers holding or carrying their grandbaby ALL the time and never wanting to put them down; it's second best to Grandma's arms!
Holden loves the music, too, and is already curious seeing his little reflection above him.
So glad I bought this, and the price was the lowest I had seen.

The swing's fine. It's the second one I've had and I do have to say this is better than the Graco I had. My 1 month old fits better (isn't always sliding down) and it swings both front to back and side to side, which is cool. I have one major problem though. The music stops after a few minutes, and you can't control that. Every time my baby falls asleep the music stops and he wakes up... he does really like the music though.
