I got this from my sister for my baby shower, and we love, love,love it! We used it the day we got home from the hospital and for months after that! My son always slept like a log in this thing and loved to just sit in it and be talked to! It's very soft and very comfy for little ones, the blanket that comes with it is great, and my son loved the vibrate motion! Once he started rolling over we had to stop using it, but we're keeping it safe for the next little one!

A friend of our has a daughter about the same age as our son who wouldn't take naps. When they came to visit they put her in it and she took a two hour nap, they couldn't believe! Needless to say they went right out and got one for her!

This is almost TOO perfect! It's like a cozy little nest for the new baby. Easy to use and clean, portable and easy to store. Vibrate feature is gentle enough for newborns, and the batteries last surprisingly long. My son slept in this exclusively his first three months, right next to the bed. It was super-convenient for me and I think it was a better/easier position for him to sleep in (rather than flat on his back).

My son loves this baby seat. He sleeps in it so sound. There is only one drawback and this may not apply to all children, when the vibration turns off after 20 minutes or so he wakes up and cries, but other than that I would like to have one for myself. VERY GOOD PRODUCT.

I registered for the baby papasan bouncer before they updated it and I was upset because they had discontinued it and I had to take it off of my registry. Then while shopping at babies r us I found the new seat and my son loves it. He can sleep in it for hours! The leaf that is above the seat has a mirror for him to look at and a removable rabbit that is cute. I am glad that we have this one and not the older style. We also have the fisher price aquarium bouncer and find that our son will fall asleep in the papasan but seems more entertained in the aquarium seat. He is only 6 weeks old and I think that we will end up getting more use out of the aquarium bouncer as he gets older. Overall I think this is a great seat and would recommend it to anyone with a newborn.

This seat was purchased on a whim, my 6 week old was being really fussy one day, and my husband and I went to the store to get him a infant tub to see if that would sooth him. Then we came across this seat, which I had seen before and fell in love with it and decided to get it for him. Thinking it would help sooth him, because he loves to be cradled and loves to vibrate and this seat does both. So when we got home and put him in it he loved it and it soothed him, he sleeps in it all the time. We even put it in his pack and play and it fits perfect in there. The blanket on it is nice and soft, the only thing is it falls off of him a lot so I swaddle him in a blanket when I put him in it. We love this seat, I just wish I would have gotten it when they added the mobile to it, because he would have loved that! So to me you can't go wrong purchasing this seat, cause it really helped out a fussy baby!

While I agree that this chair isn't very exciting, and our daughter, now 4 months old, never had fun in it, it was a lifesaver for us.

Our daughter had three very bad colds in her first three months of life. We would have never anticipated, as a breastfed baby, that she would be so sick. Each time, she was so congested that we couldn't lay her down in her crib or the bassinet, and for whatever reason, she never liked her car seat. She would sleep in the papsan, and it was so comfortable and comforting to her to be cuddled when she felt lousy. Also, we didn't have to dress her in overly-warm clothes when she was sick because we could put the papasan blanket over her and not worry about her suffocating in it because it was attached. If she was too hot, she would kick the blanket off!

Each time she got sick, we put her in the pack-n-play at the bassinett setting and set the papasan in it in our bedroom. We could look over from our bed if she coughed or anything to see if she was ok. And she was upright and breathed better.

The most commonly-recommended alternative was her carseat, but I think the papasan was much more comfortable for her, and the carseat was too heavy to put in the pack-n-play bassinett.

If you're having a winter baby, I couldn't recommend this more. It is so miserable having a sick infant, and we were so glad to have somewhere safe and cozy for her to sleep at night. I hope you never need it, but if you do, it's so much better than those wedges they put under the mattress because babies move around. This product was a lifesaver for us.

We got the baby papasan as a shower gift, and we have loved it so far! Our daughter is 5 months old, and she still loves to relax in it! It's cozy and folds up really easily for storing. It does tend to eat batteries if you use the vibrating seat option with the music, but it's worth it! The cover is fairly easy to remove and wash, and overall, it's a great product!

Our son really like the papasan, but the only down side is that I wish it would either rock or bounce. It does vibrate, but it turned out my baby likes rocking or bouncing better than just the vibration.

The soft fleece like fabic holds up very well. Our son is 3months old and it stll look like new.

Another good point is that the papasan does fold down so it can be stored fkat, however it still takes up quite a bit of room. It's perfect for in a closet or under the crib.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this item. My son LOVED this papasan!!!!! He slept in it like nothing else. The minute we turned on the vibrations and music he would become calm and fall asleep. He was so soothed by it. This thing saved my husband and I many times with our newborn. We would put him in it, next to our bed and take a much-needed nap. This is an absolute must-buy!!

We bought this item for our son, who had acid reflux as an infant. We found the angle to be ideal in that it allowed him to look around and interact but also to fall asleep in a position that kept the reflux from disrupting his sleep (and he did often nap in it). Furthermore, we were able to actively use this seat until he was older than 1 year, which is a better lifespan than most bouncy seats will give you. Now that it's been retired from active service, we appreciate that it folds up and is a pretty small item in the back of his closet. So, all in all, a good investment.

On the con side, I agree with the other reviewers in that it was mildly inconvenient at times to have the auto shut-off feature (though we used this so long that by the end, our son would turn it on again by himself). And like a lot of baby items, the music got a little old.
