I would recommend having a child use their new pixter without any software for a while to "get it." Then when you introduce software, it will be a lot easier for them to figure out! My son likes this one alot. It can keep him occupied for about 45 minutes on a car ride.

However, I did have to read some of the directions first and show him how to do some of the activities, but it was pretty easy right from the get go.

This software is great... but I agree the age range is off... WAY off. But I am in the 8-13 year old group so I find it very fun. Some of the games are battleship, mazes, pinball and the game where you bounce the ball on the stick and you move it back and forth to catch the ball when it falls.
Overall, I liked it allot.
If you have a smart kid that does not get fresturated easily by hard-to-move pieces when you're trying to move something.

Its is also good for 12 year olds and 13 year olds.Its a good toy to keep kids entertained.While their busy.On a roadtrip is where my freind uses it the most and also fun to play with.

Challenging and fun for the whole family even my 4 year old daughter-that's who it was originally for. The Arcade games are clear and the sounds are cool. When you play the sunken ship pirate game against the "computer", my 4 year old thinks that there is actually a pirate inside the pixter, playing her. This game and the Barbie Fashion show are her favorite and keep her entertained for hours-at bedtime and in the car.

Hi, I am 13, and I got this and a pixter for christmas. Besides the games that you can play without any cartrige, this is really fun. My favorite games are flower frenzy and the ball game. Some of the games are educational, as that you have to guess what to do because there is no instructions in the cartride. But other than that, the games are fun, and not just for 4 year olds.

Don't waste your money! I bought this at the same time as the Pixter for my 4 year old daughter and thought it would be very fun.

First of all, the ball is hard to find or see. Secondly, it is not for a 4 year old. There is no really exciting sound effect or ball to see.

We put it away. We tried to play with it 3 times, but even I find it to be not interesting. Signed, disappointed mother
