5.0 out of 5 stars A winner for your little Princess, July 18, 2009
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fisher-Price Precious Places Swan Palace (Toy)
I bought this item yesterday for my 2 1/2 year old. I have been searching for just the right doll house for her since she enjoys playing with her friends houses. She loves anything fanciful and princess. She absolutely lives this palace. It really caters to her love of fairy tales and fantasy. She would rather pretend to go to the ball, than burp babies so this is right up her alley. I don't know why Fisher Price did not think of this sooner but I'm glad it came out in time for my little princess. Pure stroke of genius.

I bought the Swan carriage too and I am very happy with my entire purchase. The palace is a good size, and I love the fold down pieces that expand the castle even more. The design is ingenious. All the furniture is built in so no need to buy extra. The thrown room flips to reveal a table set for tea. I just love the sounds too. A waltz for the dance hall and fanfare when the palace doors open.

The people are easy to grasp and move. My DD can put on the crowns and capes by herself. Like all other Fisher Price toys, this castle is built to last. I can't get over the attention to detail on these pieces. The colors are sweet and the design is very ornate. They are simply beautiful. Fisher Price has outdone themselves and they did it at a fair price. Awesome!!!

This was bought for my daughter who is 2 years old. She absolutely loves it. She loves playing with her brothers Imaginext castle, so it seems that this is the girls version of Imaginext. It's a well-made toy and of course is very pretty to look at. We will be buying the matching sets that go with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review from a mom of a happy 5 year old, January 7, 2010

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fisher-Price Precious Places Swan Palace (Toy)
I noticed a lot of people purchased this for their toddler aged girls. I just wanted to add a review from the mom of a 5 (almost 6) year old kindergartener. She loves the castle. One of the main things she and I like about the castle is that it is not really big and bulky. She previously had the Dora Castle and she played with it often but she actually didn't like how big and heavy it was to pull out of her closet and carry to the location she wanted to play. (Which includes downstairs). She happily donated her Dora Castle in exchange for this one. It's also very cute and very girly. Oh, and she also enjoyed the little 10 or 15 minute movie that came with it.

I also purchased the Swan Princess movies (by Richard Rich) for her for Christmas and I think that also helped her enjoy the castle even more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally an Imaginext product for girls, May 9, 2010
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars

My 7 year old daughter is a huge Imaginext fan, and have been really pleased with the line except for one thing, there hasn't been a set just for little girls. The Precious Places palace and accessories rectify this. Even though this product isn't marked or labeled as Imaginext, the figures are interchangeable with our other sets and work well with all them. I was worried that this might be too young for my daughter, but she plays with this all the time. If your child loves dolls and dollhouses I'm sure she'll love this palace. The palace is sturdy and bigger than expected and comes with cute figures and accessories. There's a great attention to detail and will keep your princess lover occupied for hours. Even though I found this particular piece on clearance, I'd definitely pay full price for it. I've also found the accessory pieces BOGO fairly often at another major retailer, so it's possible to complete the set for an affordable price. Highly recommended.

My girls absolutely love this princess palace and the animated DVD that came with the palace. The DVD has two short cartoons about the princess of the palace and her friends. The swan palace is wonderful. It is durable, good size for playing and carrying around, pretty, and has fun surprises (turning "feet" positions that open the treausure chest or the swan doors or play music). Excellent toy! Good value for the money especially considering the durablility, music that plays, fold-down extensions that include furniture, figurines included, and the DVD. I especially appreciate that the pricesses are dressed modestly and that they are age-appropriate - especially on the DVD. They look like young girls. They act like young girls. Excellent toy for young girls.

I bought this as a gift for my 7 year old niece and it was one of the items opened at the Christmas gathering. All of the nephews (4 of them - ages 2-5) wanted to get in on the action. I was worried that she might be a little on the old side for it but she truly loved it and played with it for quite some time while I was there. If you are familiar with the Imaginext line this is in the same line (though it does not mention imaginext anywhere on the package or description). The figures are the same size and the different activation sites are activated by placing the figures in the footholds and turning. They are interchangeable with all of the 'boy' imaginext castles and play items. I'd call this a big hit!

I first got this toy for my oldest granddaughter and have since gotten it for our second granddaughter. By putting the prince and/or princess' feet in several "footprints" the characters can dance, open gates, etc. It is a fun toy.

We bought this for our 21 month our daughter last christmas, she loved it but so did her twin brother. After a year all the pieces are in excellent shape and get played with weekly. It's nice because all the figures fit with my son's imaginext sets so some days we have a viking invading the castle or the princess set off for the moon. All the musical interaction is great as well as the light up heart. We're getting companion pieces this year to extend the set.

My 4-year-old 'girlie girl' asked for a toy castle for Christmas and was ecstatic to receive this one. Of course, she doesn't play very rough with it, but it does seem very sturdy and well-built. I like that it's fully furnished so you don't have to buy separate pieces to fill it up. The lights and music are a special treat. A DVD comes with it with two short stories based in the castle and starring the princess and other princesses that are for sale in other kits. I'm not a fan of this aspect, but my daughter loves the DVD and asks to watch it over and over. (The shows have no scary parts at all, no villains, so are suitable for even the youngest viewers.)

I purchased 2 of these castles for my granddaughters ages 2 & 4 through AMAZON for Christmas and they absolutely love them. They arrived in perfect condition as stated and were delivered on time, way to go AMAZOM!! The girls pretend they are princesses and play with them for hours. My daughter purchased 2 of the horse and carriage sets for them from AMAZON also as additions and I will be purchasing the extra family pieces, the boat and balloon to complete the set for both children. They also recieved dress up princess gowns so they dress up when they play with ther castles. I'm sure they will have many many hours of fun. Fisher Price got this one right!!!! AMAZON too!
