2.0 out of 5 stars Cute to look at, but poorly designed!, February 6, 2010

= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fisher Price Precious Planet Twist & Paddle Polar Bears Bath Toy (Toy)
This bath toy is a cute idea, but doesn't do what it's seemingly designed to do. Instead of paddling atop or in the water, the mama bear's lower half basically sinks while her legs kick and the baby bear twirls around for 2-3 seconds. (It takes twice as long to wind it up.) The plastic and inner mechanism are too heavy for this toy to really stay afloat, and water gets inside, dragging the toy down as well. My daughter watches me wind it up, waiting for it to do something, and then is totally uninterested once it hits the water and does its 2-second sputter. Boo. A 1-star toy, really, but I'll give it an extra star for its cuteness.

1.0 out of 5 stars poorly made and no fun, December 30, 2010

wow, this product is not what it claims to be at all! although the bears are cute, it does NOT float as the package and sales pitch claims and my disappointment is even more due to this being a Fisher-Price name-brand item... i would hope and expect a quality toy yet this falls completely short of this! do not buy, you will throw it out as i have!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, June 3, 2010

I'd like to just say DITTO to what JIL wrote in their review. Don't bother with this bath toy. It doesn't really float and the baby bear just unwinds and the legs kick for about a millisecond. There are much better toys out there.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not good at all..., August 27, 2009

It basically just sinks in the tub. Once you wind it up, it unwinds really fast (in 1-2 seconds) and doesn't stay afloat. Not a good purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars Toy FAIL!, October 15, 2011
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fisher Price Precious Planet Twist & Paddle Polar Bears Bath Toy (Toy)
This toy fails so badly, I actually came online to look for reviews to see if it was just me. Looks like I'm not alone.
Yes, it looks very cute but it takes forever to wind up, lasts only a few seconds and, instead of paddling happily through the water, it actually looks like the baby bear is frantically waving for help while the mummy bear drowns. Not exactly the cheerful toy I thought it might be. FAIL.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money, March 16, 2011

This toy was a complete waste of money. The bottom half of the toy sinks below water level and the motor is very loud.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cute but does NOT work!, February 7, 2011
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fisher Price Precious Planet Twist & Paddle Polar Bears Bath Toy (Toy)
I bought this for my 10 month old son...it basically sank and did nothing. After about four tries I gave up and threw it away. What a waste of money. It is completely cute to look at and would be totally awesome if it did what it was supposed to and float around. Instead it's basically a big plastic weight that sinks. SAVE your money and do NOT buy this!

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible product, January 5, 2011

We're usually happy with Fisher Price, so this one was a complete disappointment. They make false claims on the back of the product--their claim is that it floats in the tub and the mom's legs paddle. In reality, half of it immediately sinks in the water and the submerged legs kick underneath the surface (for a little a second or 2), and it just stays put. Perhaps Fisher Price decided to skip product testing with this one? We want our money back!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless, October 5, 2010

My husband came home with this toy from Target because he thought it was so cute. I agree with the other reviewers. All it does is sink (only the Mama's head and baby stay afloat)and it doesn't move around at all. Total waste - taking it back after one use.
