Designed for use from birth up to five months, the Fisher-Price Precious Planet Two-in-One Projection Mobile is unique among mobiles, because it combines music, plush animal figurines, and movement with a soft projection of light. Both entertaining and soothing, the Projection Mobile is perfect for playtime and rest time. It includes a remote control and requires two "AAA" and four "D" batteries.

Images project on canopy for younger babies.

Converts to music box with ceiling projection for older babies.
Innovative attaching method fits more cribs!

Restart the mobile without disturbing baby!

Fun, Colorful Design with Music and Lights to Keep Your Baby Entertained
The Projection Mobile features a colorful animal-themed design, sweet music, and a fascinating light show that dances up above. The delicate canopy keeps images close, making it easy for young babies to focus. And when your baby grows, you can remove the mobile and project the show directly on the ceiling, with music or sounds playing along to add to the fun.

Four Plush Characters Promote Brain Development
To help your baby learn to focus and to support healthy visual development, the Projection Mobile includes four plush animal toys with spinning antics that are sure to delight and calm your baby. A teal whale, white polar bear, green alligator, and yellow lion keep your baby interested with their detailed designs and friendly faces. Babies will want to reach up to touch one or all, and parents can join in the fun by naming each animal and explaining where it lives.

Three Musical Settings to Match Your Baby's Moods
As your baby watches the animal antics, you can choose up to a full 20 minutes of music to either soothe or engage her senses and to help develop her auditory skills. Customize your baby's experience and match her mood by choosing from classical lullabies from Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, nature and ocean sounds, or heartbeat and white noise womb sounds.

The Projection Mobile measures 23.5 x 17.0 x 18.0 inches (WxHxD) and weighs just five pounds. It attaches securely to any crib with an improved, stable mechanism, and it comes with a remote control. To operate, the mobile requires four "D" batteries, while the remote requires two "AAA" batteries.

Volume control, remote control, projection, music and sounds work just fine.

The music is great, the sounds of nature and heartbeat are a little too soft, I wish there was a higher volume setting.

She's 3.5 months now, and she still talks to her animals every night as she's falling asleep.

We moved our baby girl into her crib at 2 months, and it was also her first night with her projection mobile. She loved it! She's 3.5 months now, and she still talks to her animals every night as she's falling asleep. We always put her to bed while she's still awake, and she falls asleep talking. This is one of the top 5 baby items I wouldn't want to be without!

We just put batteries in it last night, and I am in love with it!! So here it is from baby's eye view. :)

It plays 20 minutes of Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, nature and ocean sounds, or heartbeat and white noise womb sounds. (not the cat meowing...)

I love that it has a remote. It's not very easy to turn it off in the dark without the remote. Very relaxing! We still have a few weeks before baby arrives, but I could use this to fall asleep too.

The only downside: the tiny screwdrivers that are needed for assembly. I had to search through my husbands computer kit to find one that was small enough.

We purchased this for our newborn daughter and in the beginning I loved it. It calmed her down for bedtime and was a great part of our bedtime routine. 2 months after I bought it, the motor burned out-the mobile stopped turning and the projection stopped moving RIGHT BEFORE BEDTIME!!! Great timing! I thought I had just bought a lemon, so I purchased another on the next day. 4 weeks later it did the same exact thing, right before bedtime again. I don't know if it's some cruel joke the company is playing on me, but I'm not laughing. I did find out that Fisher Price offers a one year warranty on their items, but it's still a pain as they won't send me a new one until they get my broken item, so the entire process will take about 4-6 weeks.

I have a Davinci Kalani crib DaVinci Kalani 4 in 1 Crib with Toddler Rail, White and was given this mobile as a shower gift. I wanted to fit the mobile to either the front or back rails, as they would be in the center of the crib, but I could not get the mobile to stay on the rail, without it slipping into the crib. So I ended up having to fit it to one of the straight rails at the end of the crib.

Word of warning too, the part of the mobile which sits on the rail is hard plastic and it slightly damaged/indented the wooden crib rail, so I stuck a small piece of padded packing material between the mobile and the rail, to stop it damaging the wood. I think Fisher Price should add a piece of padding around the area where it will sit on the crib rail, as the mobile is pretty heavy and when fitting it to the crib, can damage the crib rail if made of softer pine wood.

It took 10 to 15 minutes to put the mobile together, it needs the hefty D batteries and then the smaller AAA for the remote control.

I am not sure why the remote control has a moveable handle on it, as there is no where on the mobile to hang it and I can't think of anywhere in the room I would want to hang a plastic remote control.

The little toys hanging from the mobile are quite cute and the main parts of the mobile seem quite sturdy and are heavy (so make sure you secure it safely to the crib, as I wouldn't want it falling in on baby), the blue canopy which moves around looks a little cheap for my liking, as the main part is plastic.

I like the option to switch between sound only, sound & moving canopy and sound/moving canopy/light projection.

It's pretty fancy and our 12-week old LOVES but there are some pros and cons

Pros
-Projection is pretty cool
-Self-moving is great (i.e., no manual spinning or winding up - bravo!)
-Remote control is AWESOME

Cons
-animals that hang down are kind of blah and small
-wish you could turn on mobile without sound
-wish you could turn on spinning portion of mobile without projection
-remote control is a little finicky

Overall, great investment and wish I had it sooner for sure!!!

I bought this for my son when he was about 3 months old. The heart beat would put him right to sleep, also the nature sounds. Now he's about to turn ONE YEAR (WOW where does the time go) and he loves it still. When my son started standing up i had to take the mobile part (the revolving animals) off since he, like all babies, grabs everything he can get his chubby little hands on. So now the projection lights show wonderfully on the ceiling and LJ claps when i put him in his crib for nap time or bed time. The best part is when he can't sleep and wakes up, he just presses the button for the music and lights all by himself and falls right back asleep. Also when he wakes in the morning he'll turn it on and play contently while I muster up the energy to get out of bed...he's an early riser lol.

This is a definite must for all babies...AND PARENTS lol.

Initially I was very impressed with this mobile. The projection was very cool and my 2 month old really liked looking at it. I also liked the music, it was rather calming and not too annoying like so many other baby toys. The problem I have with this mobile is that the canopy falls off, even though I know I put it together correctly. The first time it happened it fell right on my baby (it is very light weight, so it didn't hurt him). I chalked this up to a one time thing and snapped the canopy back on. The next night, when I was fortunately nursing my baby when I heard a big thud-it happened again. I have since discontinued using the canopy and I am planning on returning the item.
