I've used this swing for my daughter since she was about a month old. It worked great for us in the beginning, sometimes it was the only thing that would put her to sleep if she had gas. It has many features I prefer to the full-size swing in the same collection- it uses energy more efficiently, the seat cradles the baby more, its portable. However, I don't see how this is supposed to work for a bigger baby- my daughter is now 6 months and about 18lbs, and it barely moves even with fresh batteries on the highest setting. It also creaks, and the seat pad dips so low she almost touches the ground. Also she is getting close to being able to sit on her own, and when she pulls her head & shoulders up, it comes to a complete stop.
I would still recommend this swing as it doesn't cost nearly as much as a full-sized one, just don't expect it to be useful all the way up to the maximum weight limit. When my daughter was smaller, it was a lifesaver. It fits easily in the trunk of the car, so if friends invited us over for dinner, I could sit her in this next to the table and actually be able to have a hands-free meal.

This swing is a lifesaver, it has preserved my sanity many, many times. My son did not like to be held when he slept, he doesn't like to be bothered when he gets sleepy. He prefers to be layed down and fall asleep on his own and cuddle his blanket. My son had terrible tummy aches when he was first born due to infant reflux and he cried anytime you would lay him down to sleep or pick him up to console him, so when he had a tummy ache and wanted movement but not to be held while he slept this swing was perfect. And also it kept propped up which is a must if your child has reflux.
It is small and doesn't take up much room at all, so it is perfect if you are like me and have a limited amount of space. It is portable so it was great when I wanted to move from room to room while picking up or taking a bath. I could just fold it up and take it with me and he would be perfectly content.

We received this swing as a shower gift. Originally we had planned on getting a full size swing; but lacked the space in our home. Until our baby was about 4 1/2 months, he would only nap in the bouncer, he hated being in this swing. Then he switched and only napped in the swing. The first week or two, it was great. The only complaint I had was that the way he sat in it. I thought he looked uncomfortable; but he always fell asleep quickly, so it did the trick. Then one day this horrible screeching sound like nails on a chalkboard started every time it rocked back and forth. Sometimes my baby will sleep through it, sometimes the screeching wakes him up. We tried to get it to stop with no luck. I just ordered a different brand because I can't stand the sound any longer. I'm disappointed with how quickly it seems to have worn out. On the positive side, my child did like the toys above his head & the music. The continuous rocking was also nice. I just wish it would've lasted a few more months at least.

When my baby is being cranky, because he is tired, but will not sleep, I sit him in this swing, and the music and rocking motion rock him to sleep. He doesn't usually fight the swing, because it looks fun and doesn't make him realize he will be going to sleep!

thought maybe I had a lemon. I was given this as a gift from someone who purchased it from amazon and I had no reciept so I thought I would live with it. Glad so many others had the same problem and I'm not crazy! Spend a small fortune on the batteries and it barely moves!! The noise is bothersome but not so much to my daughter! What bothers me is it says up to 25lbs..she is 16lbs and it barely moves no matter how high you crank it and how fresh the batteries are! Great when they are NEWBORNS but not from 4mths on..They need to fix this thing or recall them or charge a WHOLE lot less. Neat having a swing and bouncer in one but not at the expense that it wont work!! My advice. Save your money till they fix them or buy it used because you will not get much use out of it after 3mths or 4 tops.

We live in a small house, so I wanted a swing that could be put away when not in use. I've used this swing for two kids, now. It's not fancy, but it does what it needs to do--swing! The little hanging toys are fun for the baby to look at, too.

Our son loves this swing.. he sleeps very peacefully. Its very convinient, can be easily moved around as its light and takes very little space...

The only concern I always have is the support for the back.. Our son is just a month old and the swing is made of fabric.. so we just keep him in it for short time...

I purchased this for our grandaughter and she used it from the time she was an infant until she could crawl out of it. She was always happy to be in the swing, as the soft music and gentle swinging action lulled her to sleep. It very stable and can be placed on a table for feeding and playing. Gave Mommy some hands-free time. She also watched some children's tv programs in it. It's short legs makes it easy to take along.

This little portable swing by Fisher Price is terrific. It's really cute looking too. We can bring it from room to room or bring it to Grandma's house or wherever. It folds up pretty compactly and we can use it anywhere. It has been a lifesaver when the swing is the only thing the baby will relax in. One word - lifesaver!

I just recieved this swing today, I'm giving it a 5 because it works great and is very cute. I like that the seat seems like it is large enough that it will last a good while while he grows. I love the design and music. It doesn't take up a lot of space and its not a huge pain to pack up. The only thing is my son is 11 lbs 6 oz and I put him in the swing and it seemed like it was going too fast on the lowest setting so I have a puffy pillow in front of the swing to slow it down some. So the speed isn't a huge deal to me since a small thing like a pillow can fix that and it leads me to believe that when he starts putting on more weight the swing will still be able to move. Overall I highly recommend this swing.
