These well built toys seem to hold together quite well, even to the abuse they sometimes get at our house. Our three girls between the ages of 2 1/2 and 6 all have played many hours with them over the last year and a half. Be cautious if your little one puts everything in their mouth...there are small peices. We have a Precious Places DVD that came with one of the toys. That may be part of why my girls connect well with this playset. I like that they fit well in their room and are constructed well. The moving parts don't easily break or fall apart.

My five-year-old granddaughter was at my house along with her three-year-old brother. I have several Imaginext toys for boys (airplanes, some space station stuff) and Kate complained that I didn't have any girls for the toys. I ordered this toy along with a couple of others in this line and now the princesses are setting up housekeeping with the flyers and space guys.

We have the Swan Castle and the stable so we needed more people for my two girls to play with and share. I thought the price was a little high for what you get but they play with the set at least twice a week.

I bought this in Amazon for my daughter and when I got it I realized the pieces are so tiny that I will have to wait a couple of years until she gets to play with it. To add, I then found it at half of the price ($3.99) on a local store. It is nice but I would say for kids at least 6 years or older.
