This toy is fun right from the box but after it was personalized by saying my grand daughters name it was especially fun for her.

This pup was a Christmas gift for my granddaughter age 3. She adores this dog and loves the way she responds to her. The ititial description of the toy does not let you know that there is a chip in the dog bone and the comb which also causes interaction with the dog. when ask if her puppy grew up she replied"Yes you should see how long her tail got"The only down side is that there were preset dog names so she couldn't stick with the name she initially chose. Also there were preset people names so only part of her name was used. Anna instead of Analena.

My daughter loves this dog so much. I didnt think she was gonna like it so much. Hubby figured out that the printer cable works with it and he says any standard printer cable should work. He's the one who programmed it and he says it was extemlely simple to do. I was thrilled that Cadence was a name choice since it's not very common ( We call her Cady sometimes so i was sure Katie would work fine if needed for a back-up choice since it sounds about the same) There are 2000 name choices probably pulled from the social security website that publishes the top 1000 names for boys and girls each year. Not sure which year they pulled from but Cadence didnt hit the top 1000 til 2002 rating in the 900's I think it's been in the 300 since then. If your child has an uncommon name it's very possible this dog will have it. Check the website I'm talking about to see if your child is on the 1000 list in recent years. The dog says the cutest things and sings some very cute songs. It is more interactive then many other dolls and pets she's had. I hear her talking to "Rosie" all the time. Responding to questions asked and fulfilling requests asked like scratching ears. Exceeded expectations

This is a neat toy, but you have to load software to get it to work properly. This was not as easy as the information makes it out to be.

My 5 year old picked this out for a friend's birthday and then begged to have one for herself. She loves "Sparkles" and she has become an integral part of her play world. My main complaint would be that it is not mac compatible, so we had to wait about a week until we could go to a friend's house to program. Once it is programmed you are good to go and you don't have to redo. The batteries that came with the dog did not last, nor did our friend's dogs batteries. The dog will not say much (only one sentence) when the batteries are low. I thought we had a broken dog until my husband changed the batteries. We did not have to reprogram even after changing the batteries. My daughter wants another one in another color. Great toy!

We have been very pleased with this puppy. The price was reasonable and my little girl loves to hear the puppy say her name and also enjoys watching the puppy grow.

I bought this for my granddaughter for her birthday and as long as you realize it is not an instant growth time it does exactly what it says. The voice they used is not annoying like some toys and she loved the personal touch of "Beau" using her name. The fact that she left a message on our answering machine saying it was all grown tells me she is still "playing" with her. :-)

I got this for my 5 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas and she is in love with this dog. It says her name, which is a very uncommon name in the US, and it tells her how much it loves playing with her and being brushed by her. Great interactive toy!

We purchased this puppy for our granddaughter for Christmas. She had been anticipating playing with it. We were disappointed that the usb cable needed for the puppy was not included. She had to wait until one was purchased to be able to play with her new toy. For the price charged for this toy, it should have been included.

This puppy is the only thing my 6 year old wanted for Christmas after seeing it in a catalog. I thought she wold be too old for it, but she really thought it was cute and really wanted it, so we got it for her. It is absolutely adorable, and while it doesn't walk around or move much, she still sits and plays with it for long stretches. The only (big) problem with it: after the first day, it completely stopped moving it's head, and something seemed to happen to it because it wags its tail for a long time, long after it stops talking, sort of weird. It is disappointing to her that it doesn't move its head anymore, she feels like she broke it, and the fact is, she is SO gentle with it. I wish it was more durable. Other than that, it is just so cute, there are tons of kid names to choose from, not as many dog names, though, and the songs and things the dog says are really, really cute. Oh, by the way, the cd worked fine, we just used the usb that connected to our printer and had no problem at all downloading the info to the puppy, we never had to buy a new usb cord.
