Great for 4-7 I think...my son is 4.5 and really enjoys it very much. Versatile to explore or just bird/bug watch.

It does turn, but it's only for looks. It does not change the focus. However, it does work like regular binoculars but the power is very minimal. The first time my 3 year old looked through them she told me to back up..haha.

Each vendor has different costs - probably Amazon was the seller yesterday - I know they sell items for less than we can buy them for wholesale. That's my guess

Yes - they can get very excited to use these at that age, indoors or out. Focus is self-taught.
