BEST window shade!,

We've had this sun shade for over two years now, and it's still going strong. I even moved it from the driver to the passenger side of the car last year, and it still sticks! I was a little worried that it might not be reversible, but apparently, it is. Despite what the instructions say, we used a spray bottle of water to get it stick perfectly smoothly. We also used a pretty heavy-duty squeegee to smooth out all of the bubbles. I love this so much that I'm here to buy a second one for the other side of the car... baby #2 is on the way!

So I did what other reviewers suggested & used a water spray bottle to SLIGHTLY spray the window before applying the shade & that did the trick! It stayed up all summer. However, after a few months, it slowly started to come off on it's own & one day just completely fell off. It is now crumpled up on my van floor. I have not tried to see if I can put it back up yet as now it is wintertime & I'm concerned it may not stick at all to a very cold window. The concept of this item is great, but I think there is room for improvement. However, for large side van doors where you need to cover as much window as possible, this is pretty much the only option out there.

Does it's job,

Great for blocking out the sun, and if you follow the directions, it sticks wonderfully. Someone recommended to me to use an exacto knife and place the shade against the windows to cut out the shape, instead of using the grid paper. Instead, I just did a sloppy job, but it keeps the sun out of my baby's eyes!

Doesnt stick at all!,

First, it was hard to cut it to the right size for my odd-shaped windows. Then, I couldn't get it to stick to the window AT ALL - like, not for 10 seconds, not for 1 second! Simply did not work. Total waste of money.

First, I had trouble cutting it to fit the window. If you have got rectangular or square windows it may work for you.Secondly, it was terribly wrinkled out of the box and the installation guide suggested to use a blower (hair dryer) to fix it, as much as I understood. I personally think this is a waste of time and money.

TERRIBLE product despite great idea,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Rainforest Cut-to-Fit Sun Shades (Baby Product)
This sun shade simply will not stick to the window, no matter what you do. It seems from reading reviews online that it will only stick in extremely hot climates.Unfortunately, this was an impulse buy at the store for me, had I read all the negative reviews all over the internet, I never would have wasted my money. Tomorrow I am going to try wetting it down to stick it (despite directions saying to install dry) after reading that trick somewhere else, but if it doesn't stick, its going back! |
