5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!! MUST HAVE IT!!
I am training my third child (2nd daughter) and I am thrilled with this potty chair. So is she, which is why I am thrilled. The size is perfect and it is very stable.

However, the music is where it is at. I wish I could catch a picture of her face when she goes and the music plays. It is like a happy sun rising! Yesterday, she went 4 times successfully...

This seems like a great potty. It is a chair with a removable ring for the big potty and the boy version's penis guard is actually big enough to hold your toddlers pee in the toilet. Your child will like being rewarded by music and being able to use it as a step stool

Yesterday, she went 4 times successfully. Admittedly, it was about a tablespoon each time, except for one. However, at this point I am more interested in getting her focused in a positive way on going on the potty. Plus, since she is motivated to hear the music, she isn't just waiting to go, I believe she is making herself go. There is a big difference between actively causing it and happening to be on the potty when it happens. She practically runs to get there and then skips away for her M&M reward.

This morning when she got up, she ran downstairs to go on the princess potty over the pink Baby Bjorn potty that is in the bathroom across from her room. And she went! I just ordered my second princess potty, 2nd day air, so I don't miss this opportunity. To me, it seems relatively stable as a stepstool, but if that is your concern, get a Baby Bjorn stepstool and only use this as a potty.

I am very pleased with this product.

You will NOT like cleaning this thing. Inevitably the lid will get dirty and then you will have the joyful task of cleaning poop and pee with q-tips because the stupid little holes on the thing (which serve NO PURPOSE) are so deep.

There was no concept of the end user in mind when this thing was designed. It has way to many crooks and crevices for something that gets peed and pooped in. Cleaning it will be a nightmare. Don't buy this potty, unless you are a glutton for punishment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Like a Charm, March 15, 2010
This review is from: Fisher-Price Royal Stepstool Potty, Pink Princess (Baby Product)
Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty is a great motivational tool to help toilet train kids and it has worked like a royal charm with my little girl. This potty chair is designed with girls in mind and it offers more than just a cute appearance- it plays short, simple tunes to announce to the world when a successful potty has taken place and to give children a reward for a job well done.

Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty is much like other children's potties in its basic design, but the main quality that sets it apart is the sound effects. The sensors in the bottom of the receptacle are activated when liquid touches both of them. Kids love to hear the sounds and it can serve as encouragement to get children to use the potty. Children will quickly run to the princess potty chair, sit down, and try to go, just so they can hear the sounds. And parents will like that the sound effects are nothing more than short jingles lasting several seconds. You don't need to worry that a full song will play- these jingles are finished in a short period of time, which is all that is necessary for the intended purpose.

The Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty seems like a great way to potty train little girls, but I have found a few faults, however minor. One problem is that the music will sometimes activate on its own, even though no child is sitting on the chair. Just a casual bump can set off the sounds. There is an on/off switch that can be used to shut off the sounds completely, to avoid this problem, but if you use that, you need to make sure to turn it back on before your little princess sits down on the potty. Otherwise, she won't hear her reward and will wonder what is going on. Another small problem is with the toilet seat lid. It isn't as secure as I would like and this makes me question its safety if used as a stepstool, which is one of the other uses for this potty chair, as recommended by the manufacturer.

Children sometimes need a little incentive to learn to go to the potty and the Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty offers exactly that. It has only a couple of minor faults and when you think about the way this Fisher Price potty chair encourages children to use the potty, the faults seem meaningless. It adds up to a very good product that certainly helps achieve its intended goal.

This is a very special seat that is loved by our little "princess." Also useful as a stool so does double duty.

So glad I came across this potty. I LOVE Fisher Price products to begin with. I originally was going to purchase a step stool and potty but when I found this it was perfect. My daughter loves the music played when she uses the potty. We keep it closed by the sink so she can use to wash her face and hands. She knew how to turn it into the potty immediately..

My 2 year old loves this potty. She gets so excited when the music plays afer she pees. And its nice that the potty converts to a step stool so she can stand and wash her hands. Easy to clean too.

I got this from my mother as a gift for my 1 year old. We wanted to introduce it so she would get used to it being around before we started potty training. She loves to sit on it when someone else is in the bathroom and she is able to climb om it for the step stool function. It is sturdy and came right out of the box ready to use. The music is a basic celebration tune and I am sure it will be fine for a reward when she begins to use it that way. The seat comes off and there is a bowl that you wash when it is used. So far, so good!

I give this high marks for playing music when the child goes potty. It helped my daughter make the connection between her actions and why she was being praised. As for me, it took the guesswork out of whether or not she had gone.

My nephew has the boys' potty and there is a little "shield" that pops up on the front to help avoid any spray. As strange as it may sound, it would be helpful if the girls' potty had one too!

If you don't mind the blue, buy the boys'.

My daughter is trained at 22 months! When the pee hits the potty it makes a little song, it just clicked for her. I love the size, smaller for my little girl. I wish I had used this potty with the last two I trained! Worth every cent:)
