The toy was very cute and my daughter loved it, until it fell over (after 3 steps) and didn't work again after that. Hopefully they all aren't like that, but buyer beware.

My daughter picked this out with her birthday money and we are pretty disappointed. All it does is fall over and Dora falls off as well. We would not buy it again if given the chance.

Our daughter wanted this so badly, so we bought it despite the horrible reviews, fully expecting to hate it. Dora fell over as expected until my husband figured out that you really have to push her down pretty hard into the saddle. Now it works like a charm. It's really pretty amazing the way it walks by itself. We weren't expecting that AT ALL!

This product got a lot of bad reviews. But my daughter just recieved it last night from family for a early family Christmas present and loves it. The compliants I have heard is that it doesn't walk. I agree it doesn't on carpet, but walks well on tile or hard surfaces and my daughter was delighted by it for hours, she is 3 and a huge Dora fan. She loved hearing Dora tell her story also after I showed her how you can place dora's key in the horses harness. Very cute! At $35 I thought it was a good deal for how much she played with it and all it did. It also works with all of the other dora dolls of the same size and interacts in differnt ways. We are happy with this procust! The horse also is adorable and make realistic clopping and neighing sounds. Wings flap in a fun way. My only compliant would be I am worried it may be fragile for how hard my daughter is with her toys.

My daughter Ava got this for Christmas, I read all the bad reviews but she loves Dora and horses so I knew it would be a perfect gift. If you press Dora into the saddle really snug and lift her dress up a little she stays on pegasus and does not fall over. The toy does only work on hard surfaces but really you can tell that it would not walk on carpet by looking at it. Overall I think this is a great toy and brings great imagination into my daughter's playtime. Please ignore all the negative reviews and purchase this toy for your little Dora fan.

I was very disappointed with this product at first as my daughter wailed every time Dora fell off with "Mommy, it's not working". I came on here to write a bad review when I read the other comment about pressing Dora down hard to get the toy to work correctly. I tried this and it does work now. I feel like I'm about to break the toy, I'm pressing down so hard, but Dora does at least stay on now without falling after the 3rd step.

I think it's still poorly designed to have to press down with that much pressure to get a toy to work, but my 2 year old is pleased, so that works for me. It will only walk a few steps on carpet, but works fine on hard surfaces.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I was worried about getting it for her because of the bad reviews on this site. But my daughter is 3, and this was the one gift she REALLY wanted. All she would talk about is asking Santa for "Dora Horsy" She fell in love with it. She carries it around with her. Has it fly, walk, holds it, she is facinated by it and because of this, I would rate it 4 stars for how much she loves it.

The horse seems VERY WELL made. Very STurdy, I was surprised how much it weighs. Not too much for a kid to handle. But when you hold it, you are not worried it will fall apart, and not scared to hold it. The Dora is very nice too. It makes my daughter happy which is worth 5 stars!

Now, be aware. The horse does not walk on carpet, will fall over. Will only walk on hard flat floors. The directions even clearly advises you of this. It would be nice if they would have designed the mechanism better to talk on carpet better since not everyone has hard wood floors! And the horse will fall over often if Dora is on it. You need to make sure Dora is sitting straight up, not leaning to a side or to the front or back. Directions even give you this suggestion. With this, Dora will ride the horse nicely.

Mattel/Fisher price put a lot of through in designing and making this. One nice feature is if you leave the wings extended, After a minute of non use, the wings will retract back into the horse and power down to conserve battery.

Now, This horse will work well, walking wise with fresh batteries in it. But once the battery starts getting a little low, the legs will not move, you will just hear the mechanism running.

The horse even has a reset button to reset incase of a malfunction which we have not had to do yet.

So the horse is nice. If your child loves Dora, they may like this. Mileage will vary from kid to kid. But I wanted to let people know this is a nice toy, and it will work, as described in the manual, as long as you follow the suggestions.

I bought this toy for my 3 year-old daughter who loves Dora and so far it's been worth the purchase. She roleplays scenarios with Dora and the Pegasus, flies it around in the air, and sings Dora songs. Given the chance I would purchase it again.

We got this item for my daughter's birthday. It's a bit pricy, but was well worth it because she loves it and has played with it constantly every day.

The horse works best on hard work floors. It falls frequently on the carpeting. Dora stays on only okay. But my duaghter doesn't care - she likes letting the horse walk around alone.

Both Doll and Horse seemed to be well-made. Great for any Dora fan!!

I bought this for my neice for Christmas. She loves Dora and this is the prettiest Dora I have seen. It is fun to put Dora on the horse and the horse walks (but you do have to get Dora on the horse properly or she'll fall).My neice was able to get Dora on the horse without much problem and she was just 3 when she got it.
