We received this set as part of a party a couple months ago. Out of all the sets that go with the Serve N Surprises kitchen, I would have to say that this one is our/our three year old's favorite. She loves to share the ice cream with mommy and daddy and has a lot of fun mixing the colors and flavors of ice cream. Yes, you will be chasing the parts to this toy to keep them all together, but it is well worth the little bit of trouble that can be. We have cut down on this by designating a bin for all of the accessories to the table that don't fit in the middle part. The set is easy to assemble and has a variety of flavors and toppings for ice cream. The little scoop makes a click sound when you want to change out the flavors. Just saying, but that part doesn't really get used very often. I think it is a little to difficult for her to put her hands around still. It is great practice though. I want to say there are 6 ice cream flavors, 4 toppings, and three cones. I could be wrong on those numbers, but like I said, it can be a little hard to keep a good count on those! Overall, I would say that if you were going to choose one or two sets to go with the Serve N Surprises Kitchen Table, that this one should be one to get.

My daughter got this for her fourth birthday and loves it. She is four so she easily can use the scoop which works very nicely. The pieces are big enough that they are not a choking hazard for her <1 sister. I like that the caddy holds all the pieces. I wish the magical toppings snapped on or when you stacked more than one scoop they snapped in a bit as they tend top topple off when she makes a triple scoop and goes to deliver it. also the caddy comes in three pieces and snap together, but fall apart pretty easily. I am probably going to add some glue so it doesn't come apart every time we play with it. Educationally it did cause me to explain the concept of double, triple which I had apparently neglected so it taught her something. Great for imaginative play if you have a kid who likes to make food for others.

My 1.5 year old twins are obsessed with ice cream. We've had a lot of success with the Melissa and Doug set and got this set to keep at the grandparents since we stay there for long periods of time. If you only own one set, the M&D is much better - better weight, easier to use and scoops stay on better.

After playing with this for 15 minutes, I changed my rating to 1 star. It's cheapy plastic and frustrating to use - the cones are always falling over because they r so lightweight, the scoops fall off easily and the toppings r not designed to stay on. I do not recommend this product for anyone under 2. I know it says for children 2 and up but the Melissa and Doug set says 3+ years and my children have been playing with that toy for over a year.

Modification: changed to 4 stars. While it's still has major flaws, it's somewhat versitile because you can bring the cones/cream into the bath and you can also use the cones/cream as bases for Play-doh creations.

My 2.5 yr old son absolutely LOVES this toy. He has the table that goes with it but never cares to put the tray on the table to hear it sing. He just adores this accessory!! Buy it even if you don't have the table. He loves asking us all what kind of ice cream cone we want. He puts the cones together in the back of his toy car and says he is going to drive the 'ice cream truck.' So cute!! We all pretend to eat our cones. There are fun toppings, and even his baby sister can chew on them without worry of choking because the parts are not too small. There is one topping in particular that never seems to stay on any of the ice cream flavors, the brown with sprinkles, and we have tried numerous times to line it up properly, tried not lining it up, etc. but to no avail. Kind of a bummer but my son loves them so much, I can't mark it down for that. He rarely uses the scoop but it seems to work fine for us. ONE THING they should have done differently is made it so that the ice cream can stack on top of itself so that you can have (dare I say it) TWO scoops of ice cream. Instead, you can only have one scoop, with or without toppings. Sorry, but I am a 125 lb ice cream lover and I want TWO SCOOPS. Hehe.

We got this set for our 16 mo old son and he loves it! He likes changing out the ice cream tops and scooping with the spoon. He can carry it around, it comes with a handy holder. He pretends to eat the ice cream, and hands it us to share it with him. This is a great playset alone and if you have the servin' table, it's a must have accessory!

So this toy is very cute & my 5year olds love it. Only thing is, the toppings don't stay on at all, and you can stack flavors on the cones, but they don't stay either. I wasn't thrilled with the plastic it's made out of. All the parts are hollow. But my girls love it.

My kids love this you will be running around trying to get all the pieces together everyday but it's worth it! I wish you could stack on top of each other that'd be great!! One part though idk if we got a messed up piece but the chocolate topping with sprinkles is super hard to keep on the ice cream it's not the same material as the other toppings so it never stays on.
