My 2 yr old recent went and saw ELMO LIVE, so we wanted to get an elmo doll other than the pricey ones sold at the concert. This was a great one. While it does have the hard eyes, we're ok with that, just have to watch her so she doesn't bonk her little baby sisters on head with elmo doll, but certainly not a manufacture's defect or anything! He is soft and his longer hair is loved by my 2 yr old who takes elmo to bed with her. Only thing I've seen is some of the hair strands fall out a little (like a shedding dog), not a major issue and not a lot, just every so often I find a little red fuzz on couch or carseat where elmo was sitting. We love our elmo and recomend this product, great price and good sized doll, no product flaws here.

I chose this Elmo plush toy to be my son's first Elmo because I thought it would be nice to go classic. I just received him today. Although he is rather cute. He wasn't exactly what I was expecting. However, that is more of my misconception rather then anything else.

The Elmo is a reasonable size. However his eyes are quite heavier then the rest of his body. So he does flop over, don't expect him to sit up very well! He is made of a shinier fur material that is very satiny. He is very soft but not over stuffed. But not so much like a typical furry plush.

I found this Elmo to still be very cute and my son fell instantly in love with him. ^_^

There are some reviews that complain that the fluff comes off. I suggest washing it a couple of times and you shouldn't run into that problem. I bought this for my 20 month old and she loves it. She doesn't love it as much as her blank-ee and her lamb-ee, but she loves holding Elmo and hugging him. It is well built in my opinion and I would definitely recommend him, but definitely wash him a couple of times first.

Description of this toy is very unclear. I thought I was purchasing a washable, plush ELMO for my son that totes his Elmo everywhere; but it is a thin, shedding fabric--not your normal plush toy, and NOT MACHINE WASHABLE. Very poorly made. After less than a week of having it a 2" section of the back had come apart and you can see the stuffing. The eyes are made of PLASTIC. This is only worth purchasing if you do not intend for your child to play with it. Do not waste your money!!!!!

I'd been searching for an Elmo to give my son and was unable to find one that looked like the real thing. Then I found this one! Absolutely perfect! The quality is outstanding and the price was great! I was very pleased with this item!

This Elmo Doll was purchased locally for a Christmas gift 2009 for our 15month old granddaughter. Elmo is loved so dearly, a second exact Elmo was difficult to find, but found on Amazon so a reserve is on hand incase of loss. The doll has had a full year of rough exposure, 'bathed' several times in the washing machine, black paint slowly disappeared from eyes, fur a little tangled from constant "twiddling" between little fingers at bed time, but the same Elmo at heart! Thrilled to find on Amazon. He is super soft - unlike some Elmos - cuddly, light and easy to carry everywhere, and amazing value for the money.

I bought this for my year old, and he loved it right out of the box! He carries everywhere! Not very educational, he dosen't do anything, but my boy thinks it's great anyway! The eyes do hurt when you get hit with them, but that's the only downside. He looks just like the updated Elmo and feels very soft. Very minor sheding. This is a great stuffed toy, great for the Elmo lover!

My daughter loves Elmo so we got her the doll. Elmo is the perfect size for toddlers to carry with them everywhere. The red fur sheds a little, but it is soft and cuddly.

I've never seen a stuffed animal that sheds all over the place, but if you grab this doll you come away with a handful of red hair. While I was unwrapping it, my clothes became covered in hair and I had to use a lintbrush to clean myself up. I have no interest in giving this to my daughter. This is a piece of garbage.

my grandson loves Elmo so this toy was a no brainer, it is a nice cuddly toy for a toddler
