Ok, so I bought this toy for my 1 1/2 year old. he loves it , mind you, but I find some of the material they have Elmo saying to be...less than ok for small children. I never thought I'd see the day when Elmo says " work it baby work it!" and " give it to Elmo!" Just an heads up for anyone thinking of buying this toy, I thought some of the dialogue was inappropriate. my son loves it! I cringe.

My son loves this camera! Out of all the many gifts he received, this and his guitar, were his favorites. Not too loud, so it's not annoying but fun for him to play with all day.

My 3 year old grandson just loves this camera. He knows how to take pictures on a real camera so it's just loads of fun for him.

There is no on/off button and no volume control. Many cheap toys are made like this and it is fine for us but the problem with this toy is that it is WAY TOO LOUD!! Elmo is screaming at my daughter and I am afraid it is going to hurt her ears. I feel bad because she likes the toy a lot but I will not let her play with it.

My twins received this toy as a gift for Christmas. At first, I thought it was cute, Elmo tells them to say cheese, and sings a little song. After a little while, though, some other phrases started to come up. "Work it, baby, work it!" and "Give it to Elmo!" were two that immediately stood out as things I never thought I would hear Elmo say. I am really disappointed that those phrases were included. The boys love this toy, but I think the batteries may be removed soon. I know they won't enjoy it as much if the buttons don't cause it to make noise, but I really think some of the things this toy says are inappropriate for toddlers, or any children.

My son loves Elmo, so this was an easy decision. The singing on the camera is LOUD, but Jr. loves it, so that's fine with me. Plus, I got MY camera back!

My nephew loved this Elmo camera. He would not put it down. It does not have an on/off switch though. His Mom was a bit worried about that. Overall, really cute!

I'm nanny and bought it as a gift to my 2 years old's bday.
he loved it and was pretty upset when it didnt work... I sent it back to amazon and in no time they sent me a new one with no shipping charges.
i recommend it.

When we received this camera it was already not working. We put new batteries in and still no luck. We eventually got another one from Target and it still works now. It is cute and fun for preschoolers. Just not real durable I guess!

As other reviewers have mentioned, some of the phrases seem a little "strange" to be coming from Elmo. My 17 month old loves it, but it drives me crazy. There's only one volume, with no off switch. Mommy will probably be "losing" this toy soon.
