Fisher-Price has released a number of Shake n' Go automobiles over the years. For children still too small to handle a remote control car but old enough to want one, these simple vehicles are wonderful. This particular Shake n' Go features Buzz Lightyear in a Space Ranger rocket ship. The toy is easy enough for very small children to play with. As long as they understand that shaking the vehicle and then setting it on the floor will make it run, they should have plenty of hours of fun.

The longer the child shakes the vehicle, the farther it will go. Be aware that this little toy can pick up to a decent speed and could potentially frighten an unsuspecting pet.

My three-year-old son received this Buzz Lightyear Shake n' Go as a birthday present, and he loves to watch fly across the kitchen floor.

This is actually my son's second Shake n' Go toy. His first one was a Diego Jeep from last Christmas. That vehicle is still terrorizing the floor (and the cat) at my house. Now it has a sidekick, and I'm sure our pet cat is ready to make a run for it when these two vehicles hit the road together.

Highly recommended to families with very young children. These are simple toys and very fun for youngsters to play with.

I purchased this and a similar Lightening McQueen shake-n-go car for my nephew's 3rd birthday. They were a big hit - he loves Toy Story and Cars stuff. For some reason he didn't quite figure out that shaking it longer made it go farther, at least the first day, despite his big brothers showing him. The other car worked fine, but this one wouldn't go at all on carpet, and barely moved even on linoleum, so that was a disappointment. I think the way this one is made, the body of the car rides too low to the ground and rubs along the floor. The parents will probably be sending it back if they can't find a way to fix it. These cars were shipped in the "on" position, and I didn't want to drive with them going off all the time or to spoil the surprise before he opened his presents, so I had to open the box, turn the switch to the "off" position, and then reassemble the box before wrapping it. This was a hassle, but the way the box was made there was no cutting necessary so I was able to reassemble it reasonably well for a nice presentation.
